I don't do much mountain biking at all; would this be good enough to ride back and forth to campus and regular, comfortable 10-20 mile bike rides? - ScottyB - 01-30-2005 Dave Wrote:would this be good enough to ride back and forth to campus and regular, comfortable 10-20 mile bike rides? i don't know about comfortable (on a mt. bike you tend to sit fairly upright but you're still leaned over) but as long as the bike is fairly light (which it is) the ride will be nice. the shock is a nice bonus too. - Nick325is - 01-30-2005 Dave, I've got a Trek mountain bike that is very similar to that one. I ride it to classes daily and have no problems. Nick - .RJ - 01-31-2005 Dave I've done 30 mile rides on it - my ass is sore f0' shizzle, but for short rides its pretty comfortable. - PDenbigh - 01-31-2005 Dave, It'd be fine. Depending on the person, and the use, many get mroe comfortable seats for your purposes. For hard core Mt. Biking, you want a small light seat that stays out of the way and doesn't add weight - such as the seat you see on it. - Mike - 01-31-2005 padded pants are a must for serious riding. - .RJ - 01-31-2005 MichaelJComputer Wrote:padded pants are a must for serious pussies like me - Mike - 01-31-2005 lol @ slow ryan. - Feersty - 01-31-2005 Might as well double up the underwear as well. - .RJ - 01-31-2005 :?: - Mike - 01-31-2005 :?: - ViPER1313 - 01-31-2005 MichaelJComputer Wrote::?: .RJ Wrote::?::?: - JackoliciousLegs - 01-31-2005 Feersty, please clarify your posts ![]() - Feersty - 01-31-2005 I think they choose not to know what i am talking about, that is it. - Chris - 02-01-2005 seriously, how many pairs of underwear are going to help in padding?? |
