Hey Guys,
Basically, I'm interested in remote start. How it works, how to possibly install it. Does it work on manual transmission cars? Does anybody have any experience with it? I just figured it'd be nice if I could start my car from my room. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

dunno much other than yes it works on manual cars. i think the install is a bit harder as you have to trick the car in to thinking the clutch pedal is down, and you definitely have to leave it out of gear when you park it

If you have wiring skills, then it isn't a problem. Unplug the clutch safety switch, as Chad said, in manual tranny cars and you are good. In fact...you should have that clutch switch unplugged already if you drive a manual.

I'm considering putting a remote start on the Supra, but I don't know how nice it will play with the turbo timer.
Of course, I could also get a new turbotimer with remote start.

Most importantly is to leave the car out of gear, a friend of mine's dad left her camaro in gear after he drove it, and well when she started it from like 20 or so yards away she watched her car chase some sunbathing guy across campus.

I would never trust my parking brake enough to leave it in neutral...

Yeah when I drove my dad's truck you would always have to put it in gear, be it Reverse and First gear. That is definitely a habit I couldn't stop.
