1994 Del Sol - Jeff - 01-22-2005
A guy I know has for sale a 94' Del Sol. Its blue, 5-spd, 16V I-4. It had a VTEC DOHC but it was blown
. He has no idea of the current miles on the engine but the car runs well. 150,000 on the body. It has a bodykit bumper on the front and it comes with the rest of the kit in a box. Mix-matched rims (15 on front 14 on back) same style, different size. Short ram intake and magnaflow exhaust are also installed. Its an alright looking car but his price seems high, you guys be the judge. $2,800 firm. He turned down a lady offering $2,500. I'll get a number if anyone is interested.

His uncle's friend installed a B16 engine in it but blew it up, then sold it to him with a SOHC 16V engine in it. He never drove it with the fancy engine. According to him the other guy was using nitrous and "shot his load" if I recall the conversation correctly. I don't know honda, thats all I know about it. I assume it would be like going from a 2.0LDOHC in the neon to the SOHC version.
Also, I agree that he should have let it go for $2500, hell $2000

depends on the sohc motor they put in, but it was probably good for a loss of about 60hp

just in the del sol or that could fit?
* the del sol vtec came the b16a, a 1.6 dohc vtec motor. 160hp / 111tq. motor can also be found in the 99-00 civic si.
* the del sol si came with the d16z6, a 1.6 sohc vtec motor. 125hp / 106tq. motor can also be found in 92-95 civic si and ex.
* the del sol s came with the d15b, a 1.5 sohc motor. 102hp / 98tq. motor can also be found in the 92-95 civic lx and dx.
what can fit? pretty much any civic, integra, crx, rsx, and new accord motor honda has ever made

glad to see someone's been studying there del sol's!!! I cant count the number of times people think the Del Sol si came with the b16 (including me like a year and a half ago)

yes, and technically i believe the del sol vtec has a b16a3. are they 99.99% the same motor? yes. i also believe the del sol s is a d15b7. does it matter though? nope.
