Audio wiring - Andy - 01-15-2005
My front speakers were blown so crutchfield didn't hook the front speaker wires up. I'm trying to do it now, but i'm not getting battery voltage out of the wires. What could be the problem? The preludes front speaker wire power both tweeters and front speakers and the tweeters work. so what's the problem? Of course i bought new speakers. Anyone got any ideas?

You're not going to get battery voltage out of your speaker wires.
You're only going to get voltage from audio wire when you have the radio on, and playing out of "those" speakers.
The speakers only receive what power they get from the reciever or amplifier.
