ITR Pics and Progress - .RJ - 01-22-2004

I'm going to keep a thread going here on this car. Right now its dirty and stock... will need some work in the next few weeks to get it "ready" for track use and i have some stuff on the way for it.

Car is a 2000 ITR, #1381. 61K on it, had one owner before me. This should be alot of fun Smile

Oh, and I'd like to try to keep the jackassery out of this thread, and keep one thread up rather than 20 of them.

RJ

Looks great, and deffently a fun vehicle to drive...you say some things are comming your way... like what Big Grin

*scratches head*

I'm either waiting for or ordering tomorrow:

15x7 Team Dynamics Wheels
205/50/15 Falken Azenis (2 in the garage, 4 (used) on the way)

Integra RS Door Bezels (no power lock switch, conveniently triggered with a coat hanger)
Tune up items (wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, plugs)
Baffled Oil Pan and magnetic drain bolts

New Rotors, Carbotech XP8 pads (ordered 2 sets today)
Motul RBF 600 Brake fluid

I might order an exhaust too, have to think on that one. Tax return is around the corner so why not?

- Mike - 01-22-2004

I'm gonna guess some tires and brake pads.

- Chris N - 01-22-2004

How about a Rollbar, harness, and a steering wheel instead of an exhaust?

Congrats on the purchase, btw.

- Team - 01-22-2004

No plans for a suspension setup?

- .RJ - 01-22-2004

Rollbar will go in eventually. Probably when i'm more comfortable in the car on track, along with belts and a set of buckets.

As far as the suspension goes, i'm going to try to the DC region autocross schedule in D-Stock. You can replace the shocks and front swaybar in stock class, but i probably wont bother. Also have to run on stock-sized wheels, so i can just mount some decent tires on the stockers.

still wanna do the konis for new azenis trade?

i say dremel those tabs off and replace with grip tape or paint a solid color... that way you can still use your power locks, but there's no flat surface for a coat hanger to latch onto

This coming from diagonal crooked "cause it is JDM" muffler boy Tongue Sorry Kaan, but you're still the king.

- ScottyB - 01-22-2004

i have to say, black is the sweetest color for an ITR. toit like a toiger!

- Kaan - 01-22-2004

Dont diss my mexi muffler... but anyways... i'm getting a new do it yourself kit and mafnaflow (painted flat charcoal grill black... so the cops dont see any shinny bling). AND if anyone wants GC sleeves (non koni) i have someone without colars... used and chewed a little but hell if they work someone use them. and how many ricers run 400lbs springs in the front and 550lbs in the rear? huh? ok maybe me and RJ... but then again someone has "weapon R" springs!

- Mike - 01-22-2004

Tenzo R buddy.

- Kaan - 01-22-2004

sorry, i forgot you had the high end ricer springs!

- Bbasso - 01-23-2004

Looks like you found a very nice R, Congrats!

Hope to see it person one day...

- .RJ - 01-24-2004

Update: All the parts are en route, and should have them by next week. Will probably take care of the brakes and misc items next week at home, then going to head to dad's shop to use his lift to install the oil pan, change oil/mtf and mount the falkens on the TDR wheels.

- Mike - 01-25-2004

Got a ride today, what a piece. I hit VTEC reversing it out of his garage though, so I guess it was kinda cool.

- ScottyB - 01-25-2004

ha!

i have a feeling the wing doesnt work so well in reverse

- .RJ - 01-25-2004

Picked up three (yes, 3) ITR wheels with falkens on them today. Have another wheel on the way, i'll pull the tires off of them and strip them and paint them camo or something.

- Ryan T - 01-25-2004

Just watch your tires. Sad
