Cars I want: - Feersty - 12-06-2004

As you might know I graduate in May, so I may get rid of the Buick and bike, get a nice job and then a nice car. Here is what is on my list, which has a wide range of prices. Tell me if I am missing an important car, that could would feed a need for speed as do the following:

1995 BMW M3 OBD1
2003 Lexus IS300
2003 Mustang Cobra/Mach1
2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
1999-2000 Civic Coupe/Sedan/Hatch with B18C5
2004 Acura TSX

very good choices Feersty. watch out you don't get in over your head with power though....sounds dumb (and i know you ride a quick bike) but going from a slow old fwd buick to a beast ass cobra would be quite a learning curve.

the only thing you can really do is test drive them. never judge a car until you drive it.

wide range of prices? not really...

When was the last time it was driven?

- Evan - 12-07-2004

I drive it a few times a month to work

Good choice on the WRX home boy ! Lemme know if you get one and are interested in some mod advice... you can definitely make them competitive !

DAMNIT JAY!!!

excuse me while I go clean up...

Dude....the deal right now is a '97 - '99 boxster. Don't get the civic, if you have a real job, you need a real car. Of the list, I'd choose the WRX. TSX and IS are going to be expensive. M3 and Cobra would come in 2 and 3 respectively. But just don't get a civic.

But at the last meeting you had your collar popped so you would do well in the Boxster.

TSX and IS more expensive then a Porsche? Are you kidding me?

- bassmangrammy - 12-07-2004

2003 IS300 with average miles $27,300 retail. 2004 TSX MSRP price range:  $26,490- $28,490.

98 Boxster with average miles...$21,450...I've almost made up my mind on the boxster.

The 1997 boxster looks almost exactly like the 2004. (Changed in 2005 however)

not maintenance thats for sure... the rear tires for 17's are $600 alone.

- Feersty - 12-07-2004

Yeah the Boxster just doesn't do it for me, It is small, and can't carry alot, and the insurance will be hella expensive for a 22-23 year old.

Right you are...mom's agreed to let me drive the ML430 when I need space, so that doesn't matter as much for me.

Chris....$600 for the set of tires? The ones on my subaru were $525 and change.

for the rear ones...

if you can't tell I'm partial to the boxster... anyways it has 2 trunks and can actually hold quite a bit. at least enough for a weekend trip for 2.

i believe the tsx and is300 also have fairly large diameter wheels?
