Broken Car Key...need help ASAP - Nick325is - 11-21-2004 After a drive today I got out of my car and locked the car and then as I went to put my key in my pocket it snapped in half. Does anyone know any places around Harrisonburg that can make keys from VIN numbers? I am headed home tommorow for break and need to get this taken care of. If anyone can help me out or has any ideas to get me a new key or this one working again I woud appreciate it. Thanks Nick - Evan - 11-21-2004 BMW dealership - Nick325is - 11-21-2004 Unfortunaty there aren't any BMW dealerships in Hburg. Guess I can try to get the key to hold together long enough for a locksmith to make a copy. I do have another key at home, but I have no way of getting it tommorow. Nick - BLINGMW - 11-21-2004 locksmith is your best bet, they may be able to make one even out of a broken key. Dealership would take at least a few days to get a key for you, they don't make them there. The fun part is that many key making places don't have BMW blanks. Call an ACE hardware or smaller operation, forget about walmart and that kind of stuff. - CaptainHenreh - 11-21-2004 There's a locksmith on Liberty street. He's freaking awesome. He re-pinned a trunk lock for me, only charged me 5 bucks. Seriously, the dude is great.
- Nick325is - 11-21-2004 More info on this guy on Liberty Steet please Thanks! Nick |
