Pictures from Snowshoe Hillclimb (long overdue) - JohnC - 11-18-2004

Hehe... It's been a long time, but I finally uploaded our pictures from the Snowshoe Hillclimb. The complete album is here: http://thebe.jtan.com/~john/gallery/20040904_snowshoe_hillclimb

Not sure if he's in it here, but Jim Pantas ended up driving this car... Put it two off at the next corner I think (not the crash picture in the album though).

Care to explain your anti-bug campain, Mr. Swiss-Army-Knife-Anti-Bug-Crusader Man?

I stabbed them all - what is there to explain?

But don't you love all the little animals of the world, John?

Not the ones that bite me and suck out my blood and replace it with malaria and bug spit. They get to meet my good friend Swissy.

What about the widdle evil, undead blood sucking rabbits?!?

What about them, john? The sneak into your home, all innocent and cuddly, and at night they suck out your blood and replace it with carrot juice. That's right! A cage cannot hope to contain their awesome, unholy power! Be very afraid!

Thats dinner right there

You have no idea how right you are. Seriously, you're approaching 100% accuracy with the above statement.

That being said, I like the rabbits. They're warm and snuggly, and they bite everyone but me. That little fuzzball in the picture (Fern) is actually a trained and vicious killer. And the other one (Ivy) has mastered the ancient art of crapping on everything (kind of like Mike, but not with forum threads).

CaptainHenreh Wrote:That's right! A cage cannot hope to contain their awesome, unholy power! Be very afraid!

Again, frighteningly close to the truth. I accidentally left the top to Fern's (rabbit in the picture) cage open while we were feeding them. I walked around the corner into the kitchen, and wasn't gone for more than about 2 minutes. When I returned, Fern was casually hopping around the middle of the floor. It's about a 2 foot vertical leap for her to get out of the cage in the first place, and then a 3.5 foot fall to the floor. And she acted like nothing had happened... Wasn't the first time either.

And just for posterity, I'd like to mention that Jess named these rabbits. If it had been my choice, the small one would be "Intake", and the big one would be "Exhaust".

I have a cat named Clyde.

Clyde.

I wanted to name him Loki, but instead, while I was at work, he got named clyde. Of course now, I just call him "DAMN IT!!!!", but clyde's his christian name, you know.

And Sebastian came with his name. I tried to get "Sea Bass" to stick, because I thought it was bigfun, but nobody else did, so I gave him a bigger name. Sir Sebastian Lawrence Pinkears. And I make up names for him all the time. "Ghost of Tupac" is my favorite. He gets called that because he's white and he's always beating up on the little dark one.

i freakin hate rabbits. it didn't used to be that way though. rabbits and i co-existed happily until my pussy whipped roomate (he's a good man, but his gf owns him) decided to let his gf buy a rabbit (she thought it was cute in every way) and then realize that her apt. won't let her keep it...so the rabbit gets deported to our place.

i was under the impression that rabbits were happy just hopping around and eating, but i came to find out rabbits much prefer kicking and spreading their damn filth all over the room and chewing on everything in sight. by the time the first 2 weeks had passed, the shit that landed on my roomates floor got tracked into the hall....then the kitchen....then the living room. you have no idea the kind of wrath i was about to inflict on that furry bastard when i stepped out of my shower and immediately had a piece of rabbit turd between my toes. thank goodness my airsoft gun was empty and i was too cold to go load it up right then and there. my roomate graduated last year and took mini-shit-factory with him. there was much rejoicing.

ok...pant....im done....pant....

- JohnC - 11-18-2004

This is a poop factory:

But she's really friendly and makes honking noises when she hops around, so it evens out.

- Evan - 11-18-2004

scotty rabbits can (and should) be litterbox trained.
would you hate all dogs if your roomate had one and was too much of an idiot to housetrain him?

hate the player not the game

hehe i just had to go nuts, it was a frustrating situation. i love pretty much all animals actually. if i hadn't have become an art major i would have gone into marine biology.

my roomates rabbit was actually litterbox trained, but it just liked to kick up its sawdust stuff that had poop in it. the poor rabbit didnt get out of his cage much anyway so that probably explains why he went nuts when he was allowed to run around

true story: my dad had tons of weird pets when he was my age (a beer drinking great dane, a 21 year old siamese cat, a crow....) but one of the best was a rabbit that chilled in a raised rabbit box shelter thingy outside. one night a weasel managed to get partially into the box and bit the rabbits throat open. it almost died, but somehow recovered and went on to live 11 years.

*I call the big one 'bitey'*...

or, in our case, the little one...
