Prodrive Aston Martin DBR9 takes to the track - G.Irish - 11-16-2004

Prodrive has been working all year on Le Mans/FIA GT Aston Martin DBR9's and now they're ready to take on the ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring in the GTS class. Prodrive has always been pretty successful in everything they've tried so I'd expect them to make a good run at the Corvette program this year. Supposedly they won't be running the whole ALMS season though Sad

Yeah there are some spy pics running around of the C6R but no official pics yet.

- bassmangrammy - 11-17-2004

let's see those C6R pics!!!!!!

- G.Irish - 11-17-2004

This is the only spy pic I've seen, you can't tell much of anything from this photo really. I'll bet that we'll see the C6R in the next month or so though.

The C6R has been under wraps b/c its been slower in testing than the C5R - the C5R shared just about nothing with the street car (tube frame chassis) while the C6R is built using the production chassis.

What did the GTS rules change or something?

- .RJ - 11-18-2004

I'm not sure what, how many and to what extent production pieces are being used. But right now, its not faster.

Is it supposed to run ALMS GTS? The ferraris were built on a production chassis, no?
