If you really can't understand how difficult it is to process specific orders for dozens of people that hand you money at random times and to coordinate these worker trips in which what people say and do rarely have anything in common then by all means take my position for a week or so. I told you your hoodie will be ordered ASAP, right now I'm waiting on a book of checks to be printed for the club so I can make another order of the 2 items I screwed up out of about 75. Regarding this weekend - I have no control over what NASA wants from us, I merely relay information and do my best to foresee thigns so that you all can have some sort of heads-up weekes in advance. From now on NASA will have a worker's registration on their website so everyone will be responsible for themselves. - Mike - 02-16-2004 Feersty Wrote:So what is available? The 3 things that are listed maybe? - ScottyB - 02-16-2004 sorry for all the dumb questions, but what time is everything over on sunday? im hoping i will have time to get home and do at least a little schoolwork - Mike - 02-16-2004 No question is a dumb question - 6:30 or 7. - ScottyB - 02-16-2004 hmmm....crap. i'd really like to be able to get home sooner on sunday. i know i am responsible for giving some of you guys rides home, so maybe we can work something out. also, i'd prefer to work the gate if possible, that way if possible, i can head home a little earlier on sunday. - Mike - 02-16-2004 What time were you trying to leave by Scott? I'll see if I can work something out when I call Laura tomorrow. - ScottyB - 02-16-2004 well, it's about a 4 hour trip right? i'd like to leave around 3 or 4 if thats ok. of course if we NEED me to stay longer, than hey, i can do that. but i would like to be back at jmu not much later than 7 or 8. any help would be appreciated el presidente! - Maengelito - 02-16-2004 ScottyB Wrote:well, it's about a 4 hour trip right? i'd like to leave around 3 or 4 if thats ok. of course if we NEED me to stay longer, than hey, i can do that. but i would like to be back at jmu not much later than 7 or 8. any help would be appreciated el presidente! its about a 3 hour trip (1hr to cville, 2 from cville to danville). i'm sure people will be makin a stop at my place on the way back for any bathroom or relaxin or whatever breaks they might need. as for showing support at VIR, we really need people to show that MM is committed to working with NASA at these events. it sucks that we've gotten the shaft in the past, but if you think about it, this is really a sweet deal we've got goin with them. when i ran out of worker credits to use, that weekend fee, although its relatively cheap compared to other orgs, is still a shot to my visa. i plan on working lots of events this year to recoop some of my losses. regardless, we've gotta show that MM can handle all around duties of workin a track event, which can only bolster our relationship with nasa and help hook us up in the future. sorry for a non-worker interjecting in a worker thread... this will apply to me probably at more than a few weekends this year tho... - ScottyB - 02-16-2004 i totally agree with you maeng. it's just that i had no idea what the schedule was before, and i didnt realize it was going to run so late. i was only asking if it would be possible if i could leave earlier, not that i would leave earlier. as an officer, i also feel responsible for making sure i represent the club properly ![]() - .RJ - 02-16-2004 I would not bank on leaving early at all. It sounds like a good idea, but it never happens. If you need to study or get work done, you can set aside one of the hotel rooms for it saturday evening, rather than leaving 2 hours earlier sunday evening. - RedNight351 - 02-17-2004 Josh Di Gennaro.....i do not need to work at all...ill hit up the next one thats closer and more people are needed... maybe next time.. |
