Normal Thing: Come run or walk or bike a 5k in Troutville this weekend - BLINGMW - 06-14-2020 My wife is on the board for FEBA, "Woman, Cradle of Abundance". The vision: The eradication of systemic poverty and violence against women and girls in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Every year the members host a fundraiser 5k wherever they are. We happen to have a 5k running trail in our backyard. So if you'd like to join us at 9 this sat the 20th, you're welcome to stay the night pre or post. One of my friends said he's in if bacon is involved, so, bacon is included with your voluntary donation. PM me for details. REALLY focused mission and a relatively small group of women, but they teach them useful skills, work together so they can earn a living, and give them a safe place to live and eat so they don't end up having horrible things happen to them. For example the government took away their nearby land with their garden, so they have one further away now and we bought them a truck.
