MM Access to Manheim Auction - davej - 06-17-2019

In a recent development, I somehow ended up with dealer access to buy cars at Manheim. 
It has been ok'd to buy cars directly for friends/family for $500 over price/fees. They run everything from beaters to practically new cars through, but it'd probably be best if you had a specific model in mind to go after.  I can share some previous results so you can get an idea of pricing. 

We can talk details if anyone is interested, but the cars would still have to go through the dealership for title/taxes/etc.

Yeah, I'm going to get myself into trouble. I tried to bid on that karmann ghia but there must be a slight lag and I missed the hammer.
There are lots of twin turbo 6's to all wheels coming up with old VA State Trooper SHOs this week. Real curious to see what they go for, one of those would make a hellafun rallyx car for cheap.

+1 subscribe. Out of curiosity you see any 2006 6.6L Chevy Silverado 2500 or GMC Sierra with less than 100K miles?

Continuing the diesel trend I might have to talk to the wife about picking up one of them TDI wagons..I miss mine

I'm spoiled by the one on eBay I saw with 45k. I think it went for 36 Grand which is crazy. I'm kind of holding out for the 2020 2500s to see what happens to prices of last gen..

One in Fredricksburg this week but it has 150k. Interested to see what it will go for on Thursday.

It might even be lower than that, I've seen some 3.x that said minor damage/scratches but are tagged as not needing body or paint work, and I can't tell what the issue, at least from the crappy photos.

I haven't been to a preview yet but hopefully after seeing a few cars in person I can get a better sense of the ratings.

It is good for any Manheim, and they even have an easy button in the site for shipping back to the shop here. Unsure if it could be delivered elsewhere though.

I don't know what paperwork/ title transfer would look like to the great state of md, but I'm sure it's pretty straight forward.
