GT4 Screenshots - JohnC - 10-15-2004 This is probably *really* old stuff, but I enjoyed it: http://delobbo.com/gran_turismo_4_1.html - Mike - 10-15-2004 call me crazy, but i don't see how ps2 can process graphics like that... - JohnC - 10-15-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:call me crazy, but i don't see how ps2 can process graphics like that... Everything is pre-rendered, and the game comes on a convenient set of 17,000 dvds... "To turn left, insert disc 4532" "To turn right, insert disc 8493" "To throw the shocker out of the driver's window while drifting, insert disc 16783" Supposedly it'll offer 8 years of non-stop game play for the first race alone
- BLINGMW - 10-15-2004 maybe if it's hooked up to a computer monitor and running at 3FPS? I mean, honestly, if nothing else, those resolutions are MUCH higher than a regular TV. - 83Rabbit - 10-15-2004 bwahahahaha a prius hahahahahahahahalololol!!!oneone!!!1111eleven!1 - 83Rabbit - 10-15-2004 THEY GOT NAWWWWWWWWZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hock:
- .RJ - 10-15-2004 Fucking a that game looks incredible. I have read (on the intarweb so it must be true!) that in the replay mode there is a "photo" option that renders the screen shot in a higher resolution... which I would assume those are. The 'Ring and NYC tracks look awesome, I hope they bring back Grand Valley East!
- BLINGMW - 10-15-2004 well that makes some sense then. I'm willing to beleive that. I still wish I had some feeling that the game was actually going to PLAY any better, rather than just look it. - Sijray21 - 10-15-2004 I got to play it in tokyo last year and i liked it. The graphics for the backgrounds were incredible and the cars defintely looked better. it plays pretty nice, the steering is quite sensitive though. I was only able to play it on the force feedback steering wheel however, i wanted to try it out on the controller though. - BLINGMW - 10-15-2004 bah, nevermind what I said. I just realised there's 6 pages of these pics. Too beautiful. I'm pre-ordering. ![]() holy crap, good thing I have a good connection here. IE is choking on these pages. Looking for some good desktop pics.... are those shots with the writing on the pavement nurburgring or something? Wouldn't that be incredible if they got that track in here? - Myuki - 10-15-2004 yea, some of the pics look like nurburgring.....damn...i wanna see that track in the game - Evan - 10-15-2004 Ill be the "hater" and say I sure as shit would have rather had online play than 34,209 cars including 58 versions of a 5 year old kia better graphics and more cars is great and all, but its just more of the same game we have been playing. No online play is a major major letdown. Evan -still looking forward to it too, just not quite as much - G.Irish - 10-15-2004 Yeah I'm gonna hate too and say I don't care that the game has 5000 different cars, especially when you know that the variety comes at the expense of detail. Online play would've been huge too. Oh well maybe the physics engine has improved dramatically but I'm not getting my hopes up. - Mike - 10-15-2004 I really don't care about the online thing... I was never too hyped about it, although it would have been cool. - BLINGMW - 10-19-2004 OOOOHHH KAY. I'm pre-ordering it. According to Gamespot, Nurburgring is in there. hock: (aprently they've known this for months, I just haven't been reading)"Toward the end of our meeting Yamauchi revealed the names of three previously unannounced courses that will be appearing in GT4, namely the streets of Hong Kong, the Costa di Amalfi tarmac rally track in Italy, and Germany's famous 13-mile-long Nurburgring. All of the circuits in the game have been painstakingly re-created to the extent that every single point in the environment is accurate to within 15mm--around two-thirds of an inch. To drive this point home Yamauchi told us that Nissan's top test driver, who happens to be a huge Gran Turismo fan, was asked to drive one of the Nissan Skylines in the game around the Nurburgring and compare his Gran Turismo time to his real-life time. The driver was able to complete both in times of a little over eight minutes, and the two times ended up being within just five seconds of each other" - .RJ - 10-19-2004 release date? - Mike - 10-19-2004 i have november 14th in my day planner, but that was from a long time ago. i assume it has changed. - Dave - 10-19-2004 me likey. I too fear I will be forced to buy this before it achieves "affordable" status as ordained by my wallet. - JohnC - 10-19-2004 I fear I will buy a TV, PlayStation 2, and this stupid game... - bassmangrammy - 10-19-2004 When is PS3 coming out? |
