Hunter Smith Intro - HunterSmith - 09-22-2018 I'm currently a freshman at JMU with a major in chemistry and a minor in pre-dentistry. I'm from Madison, Va (about an hour away from JMU over the mountain) and I grew up on a family cattle farm with plenty of land to mess around on with four-wheelers or trucks. I came across Madison Motorsports on the JMU club page and it caught my eye since I'm into cars/trucks, specifically trail riding. I ran across the forum and figured it be a good place for me since I spend a large amount of my times on Tacomaworld.com with over 1,000 posts. I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma SR5 that has been lightly modded with many plans for the future when my budget allows it. Here are a few specs/mods: - 2001 4x4 SR5 extended cab with ~130k miles - 2.7cyl with 5-speed manual transmission - 18" Magnaflow muffler - 33x12.50x15 BFG KO2s - Bilstein 5100s front and rear - Old Man Emu 881 coils - 1.5" Progressive Add-A-Leaf from Wheeler's Offroad - Plastidipped badges - CaliRaisedLED Side-Projecting LED Pods on Rago Fabrication Ditch Mounts - Kenwood Head Unit - Sound Ordnance M-1500 Amp - Sound Ordnance B-24 Subwoofers (Yes, I managed to fit two 12 inch subs in the tiny portion of my extended cab) - Finally, a beautiful dent on the driver's side rear corner from my brother via a tractor bucket (on accident of course) A few pics... Hunter Smith Intro - JPolen01 - 09-23-2018 Paging Taylor to the courtesy phone RE: Hunter Smith Intro - V1GiLaNtE - 09-23-2018 AYYYYY. Another ToyBrota! Welcome and a good looking Taco. Hunter Smith Intro - GTBrandon - 09-23-2018 Oh man, I ALWAYS wanted a Tacoma like that to play around with. Still actually entertaining the idea now that I have the bike to track, and want to explore more of the mountains. Have you done any multi-day trail trips in the Taco yet? RE: Hunter Smith Intro - Jake - 09-24-2018 Oh man, Taylor is going to be all over this. Welcome to the club/madness! Hunter Smith Intro - Senor_Taylor - 09-24-2018 HELLO! I'm also a TacomaWorlder with a few thousand posts. I used to have an 03 with a similar setup as yours. There are some great trails near JMU to cut your teeth on. I haven't gotten to do any overnight stuff but I've done a few day trips to places around my hometown. I'm actually considering a trip to Flagpole Knob soon, maybe tomorrow if I get all my work done. However, I'm pretty sure that most of our newer tractors are John Deere. It's a beef farm with about 1,400 acres with only 2-3 people working on it, a family friend as the manager and then my older brother does a lot of it. Hunter Smith Intro - Senor_Taylor - 11-10-2018 I did a build thread. I'll link it sometime. Not active anymore since I sold mine last year. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |
