Doge - Evan - 04-05-2018 It breaks my heart, but I'm forced to find a new home for my beloved Australian Shepherd Sasha. Reason because my 2 year old son developed a severe dog allergy out of nowhere recently (rash, lesions, face and limb swelling...the works) She is 6, 50 lbs, and up to date on all shots. The good: She is a wonderful dog with tons of personality. The catch: You will let me come visit her occasionally. Though I will probably bring alcoholic beverages. If you are *seriously* interested, contact me, I have plenty more details, can bury you in pics, and am happy to answer your questions. Email me at evan55 at gee mailz if you would like to talk more ![]()
Doge - Sijray21 - 04-06-2018 Oh, man. I'm so sorry Evan :-( I hope someone local can pick her up. I'll ask around. If I didn't already have a female dog that didn't like other female dogs I'd pick her up. Doge - Senor_Taylor - 04-06-2018 I wish you the best of luck! Sorry to hear it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk RE: Doge - Jewels - 04-06-2018 Hey Evan, I know I'm not local and I'm not really looking for another dog at the moment, but if its ok with you I'd like to reach out to a couple friends and see if they'd like her. Good homes, good dog life kinda people. RE: Doge - Ken - 04-06-2018 I'm sorry bud, this must be awful. Not that i am close enough for visits, but i would have loved to have her in our home. Also, the fact that my lease has an addendum that specifically states only one 20lb terrier mixed named Reese is allowed in the unit. But still. RE: Doge - davej - 04-06-2018 Ugh, that sucks man, sorry you guys have to go through that. I recommend opting for the extended warranty on your next offspring. I always thought our Weimaraner was quick until I saw my aunt's Australian Sheppard in action, holy smokes are they a fun, full of life dog! Hopefully you'll find a good home close by that can offer lots of room to run. Doge - Sijray21 - 04-06-2018 If you need to go the adoption route I recommend Friends of Homeless Animals (Aldie, VA). We found Bisou there and they really care a lot for the animals and ensure the adopting families are a right fit. They also have a lot of hosting families instead of their shelter, which seem like it may be a better fit. RE: Doge - Goodspeed - 04-06-2018 Man I hope you find a good home for her, Evan.
RE: Doge - ScottyB - 04-06-2018 i'm talking with the wife today about it. we've already got a deposit down on a pup and weren't prepared to swing 2 dogs but we sure love 'em so who knows. if it were to ever work out, you'd just have to hit up Road Atlanta when you're down to visit her. RE: Doge - ScottyB - 04-12-2018 any luck? no go for us, sorry, assuming you'd let her be that far from you (i couldn't if i was you). i hope she ends up with one of the other aussie owners you "converted", heh. RE: Doge - Evan - 04-12-2018 No luck yet. I havent resorted to broadcasting on facebook or at work and I doubt Im going to. Likely I will use the local Aussie Rescue. Basically they have a list of pre-approved families and they send them to me to meet Sasha. Its a good system and I get ultimate yea or nea. RE: Doge - GTBrandon - 04-13-2018 Aw man sorry to hear this, I can reach out for you as I might know of a good home. |
