WTB a miata top - jmwhtzl - 02-27-2018
So I just brought home my 1992 Mazda Miata I bought from Taylor and I love it. I've been pining for a miata for what seems like ages now and I'm super excited to finally own one. However, it is in need of a few things, mainly, a new soft top. Figured I'd see if anyone was letting one go on here before shelling out for a new one. Mainly looking for a black one with a plastic window, and preferably with a rain rail. MUST BE ON A FRAME. Let me know what you got!

And for one without a frame
Amazon for a cheap one.
A used one on the frame can be installed in an hour but may cost more and be hard to find in great condition.
If you're willing to put in the work, a new one without the frame can be bought with a new rain rail and put on your current frame.
Check your seals along the door window. If those go bad, the roof will leak a lot. Check out Shin Etsu, which is a Honda product that will make the rubber seals more supple and thick, which will help them seal.
Also remember that a Miata top will leak a tad no matter what, so don't expect perfection .

Wait, how much are you looking to get for it? I havent had a chance to post on here, but I didnt order a top yet, figured I'd scout some parts miatas just in case. Seems that may have been a good idea.

Let me take a close look at it, I literally picked the car up and haven't looked at it since, it's still on the (sold) trailer. I'm grabbing it this afternoon

Wow, that was quick. Where did you get it? I looked for a top on frame for s minute and didn't find anything close.

Thanks, got it on frame with the rain rail for a pretty good price, and the top seemed pretty new. Got the miata inspected today, too.

Yep, all i needed was new parking light and brake light bulbs and wipers and it was good to go.

Thanks! Progress is kinda slow since I'm a broke high school student, but I've got a few things in the works.
