From the article my guess is that it will be badged a Lexus when/if it comes here.

- Evan - 10-12-2004

profile reminds me a bit of a Viper comp coupe

they sure did dress it up a lot, so who knows how it actually looks. I just hope its a lot better than the fugly car show concept

- Mike - 10-12-2004

i just hope it looks better than the fugly mkiv Tongue

- G.Irish - 10-12-2004

I'm kind of disappointed with where they're taking the concept. I'd rather see a Corvette killer with a turbo V6, I6, or V8. V10 doesn't do anything for me, the Viper has been there, done that.

- 83Rabbit - 10-12-2004

A v10 is also going to be so far out of most peoples price range it wont even matter. A turbo v6 generally regardless of the car if its mass produced will be far less expensive than if they throw a v10 in there and jack up the price by 30-50%

gay, v10 = bad move on toyotas part

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-12-2004

mmm.... turbo V8...

- Evan - 10-12-2004

turbocharged Tundra motor would have been hot

- Feersty - 10-12-2004

I hate that car.

- CaptainHenreh - 10-12-2004

Just more evidence that toyota has lost it's fucking mind, and sucks.

- ScottyB - 10-12-2004

at least its still rwd...

oh well, with the obnoxious price tag its gonna carry being out of the general 'supra' or toyota market (regardless if its badged as a lexus), it will flop and theyll realize maybe they should have produced it for a slightly larger market.

- Mike - 10-12-2004

in the article they say it is a v10 that produces 500hp and only 370lb-ft? what is it like a 2.2 liter v10? that is a honda-style output...

- Evan - 10-12-2004

this F1 stuff has gone to Toyota's head

- Ryan T - 10-12-2004

I don't see a problem with bringing the 2jz-gte engine back to the states in that car. We already get the 2jz-ge in the IS300, why not get the gte too?

I'll second that.

And fuck off, Mike Tongue

- KPWSerpiente - 10-13-2004

Woah wait, a expensive car that actually puts down some power?

I can see Toyota has lost its mind.....they should follow in Hondas footsteps, price a car to compete with the Viper in this country and make it as pussy as possible.
I'm thinking an 80k dollar car with less than 400 hp will be exactly what Toyota needs to compete in the niche market dominated by retards who bought a late model NSX.

I suppose this new Supra will flop. I mean...I don't know of any v10 cars making 500hp and costing more than your average car That haVe been In develoPmEnt for a decade and aRe widely respected around the world.

- Myuki - 10-13-2004

do I sense subtle underlying messages????

from my knowledge of it, I can't make a solid judgement of exactly how good it'll be......

- Seantn1k - 10-13-2004

I'm thinking that they're just going to say a whole bunch of crap to make you second guess yourself on the final product. They've kept the car an inline 6 banger with a turbo attached for the past two gens. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't want to keep developing the ultimate i6 turbo motor that's completely from scratch without the public knowing?

I am worried about the new design though, I'm all about the current eggshell gen IV design.

Fuck off about the comment that MKIv's are ugly? Hehe.
Or about a v10 only producing 370lb-ft of torque while making 500hp? That I don't get... Sounds odd.

Torque = Displacement, for N/A.
