FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-02-2017 161k Miles, needs an exhaust manifold, rear quarter panel has a small dent (in picture below). 4wd works, factory tow package, newer tires, newer brakes, new calipers, runs well. $3500 as it sits, price will go up as I fix it up / clean it up.
FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-03-2017 Few real pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Body damage to rear quarter where it scraped the garage door, very hard to see: ![]() ![]()
FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-04-2017 No one knows anyone who needs a good winter beater or tow vehicle? FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Senor_Taylor - 12-04-2017 @zach Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Jake - 12-04-2017 LS = not many options although if it's got AC, 4x4 and the tow package it'd be alright. I6 or V8? FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-04-2017 I6, yes it has AC, everything works except manifold.... replacement in mail. It is rated to tow in excess of 5k lbs. I towed a Chrysler Imperial on a Uhaul trailer with it once and would not recommend it for that, but a smaller car with a lighter trailer would be fine. It hauled my dads boat (about 4K lbs) with no issues. FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-06-2017 Custom 2 piece exhaust manifold - ![]()
FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-07-2017 Now with a shiny new manifold. I have been over the truck, only other issues I have found 1. Needs front brake pads. Parts in mail. 2. Needs a radiator cap, it’s weeping fluid. Part in mail. 3. A couple of light bulbs are out in the HVAC and radio. Don’t care. Oh, and the interior smells like an ash tray. Still need to clean it. This is a solid ass truck at this price. When I list it I am going to ask for close to 5. Get it while the getting is good. RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Jake - 12-07-2017 Oh, it's been smoked in? Hard pass, especially with cloth seats. Also towed with and used to pull a boat and jet skis out of salt water about 500 times (which, surprisingly, has left the thing with 0 rust in the back except for the hitch... we were always good about spraying it off afterwards.) The back carpet is also pretty foul from hauling shit over the years. But, it’s also mechanically really sound. New brakes / rotors calipers in the rear not long ago. He drove it like an old man. Always garage kept so the paint is in pretty good shape. RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Senor_Taylor - 12-07-2017 We get it, Jake. You don't want it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-17-2017 I installed new front brake pads & a new radiator cap, I was going to MD state inspect it but think U will just list it and see if it sells without. Also cleaned the interior top to bottom with a spot bot, including the headliner. Smoke smell greatly reduced or gone. ![]() ![]()
FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 12-18-2017 Does anyone actually fall for this anymore?
RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Senor_Taylor - 12-18-2017 Don't think, just take their check for double the asking price and meet his agent with the car. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 01-11-2018 Well I drove the car to buddies house last night to keep the battery up. Leaving the house, I started the car (which drove fine 3 hours earlier) and it immediately threw a CEL. I didn’t think much of it, this thing threw a CEL for evap emissions occasionally. Backing out of the spot, the oil pressure gauge starts jumping, reading fine, then 0, then fine, then jumping everywhere between 0 and 50psi. I immediately pulled back in the spot and checked the oil level, just fine. Started the motor, listened to it, no lifter tick, sounds fine. Gauge is now reading correctly, 60 psi of pressure. I drive out of the neighborhood and start to get on the highway, it goes from reading 40-60 to 0 and stays there. I figured that a connector got some water in it when I washed the engine bay and this is just electrical, engine sounds fine, I say F it and jump on the highway, where it made it about 3-4 miles with 0 pressure before seizing solid. So don’t be me and trust your gauges children. If I had, I would have found the CEL was for both banks of cam position sensors being out of range (they are oil pressure driven.) $600 anyone? RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - davej - 01-11-2018 ![]() sorry dude.
RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Senor_Taylor - 01-11-2018 This is a joke right? You're messing with us. FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - ViPER1313 - 01-11-2018 I wish. If it weren’t for bad luck I would have 0 luck at all. RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - JPolen01 - 01-11-2018 Nobody on here is buying this POS RE: FS - 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer - balactm - 01-11-2018 (01-11-2018, 10:45 AM)ViPER1313 Wrote: Well I drove the car to buddies house last night to keep the battery up. Dang, that happened to me offroading in my xterra, and I had just driven through a big ass mud hole, and assumed it was water on the sensor, shorting it out. $0.02 thought: if it ever happens to you on another vehicle, take off the oil cap and see if you can see oil moving around. I did this and gave me about 50% confidence in making it off the mountain (better than 0% i guess). |
