Porsche tools help - Pinegaaj - 11-30-2017

Hey guys, I was told to ask yall for help getting some tools for my 944. If you somehow have the tools or know someone who might be willing to help out, I'll pay for shipping and whatever. It would really be a huge help. The water pump isn't necessary bad; however, I've been told to go ahead and replace it if I am replacing the belts and everything since the old water pump would go bad as a result of the new (proper amount of) force on it.

Specifically, I'd need these tools to be able to replace the water pump on the 944:
P9200-Porsche Balance Shaft Locking Tool
P9206-Porsche 944 Flywheel Lock

I've checked with MAAP. They had all three tools that I needed; however, they sold a bunch of stuff to some Swedish company and don't have these two anymore.

I know someone will say it... I'll do a forum post on the 944s and Kawasaki eventually...

You can't make these tools I'm assuming?

Someone put him in contact with Jeff Curtis.

RE: Porsche tools help - Pinegaaj - 11-30-2017

Taylor, I've thought about that... It would basically be a last chance thing to try since I don't know the exact dimensions of the tools. If I could get those dimensions, then I could make it through engineering.

I forgot about Jeff. I met him once at VIR. I guess I'll contact him on Facebook haha. Thanks Jon

Luckily, MAAP has the 944's belt tensioning tool, so at least the two that I still need are the cheapER ones...

I bet Derecola could help.

RE: Porsche tools help - Apoc - 11-30-2017

If Curtis can't help, ask at one of these places:

http://forum.44cup.com/

I would find it for you, but I'm no longer involved in the series.

Is Derecola an MM alumnus? I don't think I know them.

Thanks for the websites Apoc, I'll check them out and see if anyone is feeling friendly haha

Honorary, although we're not sure who let him in.

RE: Porsche tools help - Pinegaaj - 11-30-2017

Alrighty, gotcha. Is it Chris Derecola or Dave Derecola? I have mutual MM friends with both on Facebook

Aw man,

I can't think that I am the only one that wanted to let this play out a bit.

RE: Porsche tools help - Apoc - 11-30-2017

Yeah, you'll want to talk to my dad.

He and I aren't on great terms, so I wouldn't mention I sent you.  Big Grin

RE: Porsche tools help - Pinegaaj - 11-30-2017

ahhhh, that makes sense. I only know some people on here by their forum username instead of their real name

Alrighty haha. I'll try messaging him. Thanks!
