Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - GTBrandon - 11-21-2017 Date: December 2nd Time: 11am Location: 114 S. New Street, Staunton VA $5 for Alum, Free for current paying members So I somehow found myself on a tour of this "museum" of sorts a couple weeks back and loved it. I talked to the owner afterward and was able to set up a date for MM to come and get a tour and then hang out downtown afterward. It is in downtown Staunton, VA so I was thinking to have the tour at 11am, then grab lunch afterward and end the afternoon with some nice roads back towards Harrisonburg or farther out if anyone knows of something good. The date is December 2nd and the location is called Bruce A. Elder Antique and Classic Automobiles and the address looks to be 114 S New St, Staunton, VA 24401 for those of you who don't use this thing called Google or Siri to find your way around. It's about a 30min drive from JMU so I want to meet in R1 at 10am and have the convoy leaving at 10:15 or so. But for those who aren't coming from JMU, just plan to be in Staunton around 10:45. It's downtown so parking isn't the greatest but I believe there was a parking garage right behind the museum. For current students, admission is free as it's covered under your dues, for anyone else who would like to join either alum or friends, it will be $5. For the number of cars you get to see and history you learn from this guy who gives the tours, it's well worth it, also come on, it's $5. So I want to get a headcount going, If you are interested, just comment down below and feel free to text/PM me if you want any more details. Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - Senor_Taylor - 11-21-2017 Is there a date for this? Perhaps the club could subsidize the $5? Fixed that for the date, as for the subsidizing, the club is covering paying members but I think alum can handle $5. Maybe if there are only a few alum then we can discuss the option of covering it with club dues but if there is a huge turn out, I’m not sure how the clubs finances will cover it. Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - Senor_Taylor - 11-21-2017 No, alumni shouldn't have the club paid for the stuff. That's not what I was implying. RE: Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - balactm - 11-22-2017 Me and Jess are in if this is still happening. Would be fun to meet some new members and maybe see some old? Definitely still happening, believe there are 10 or so current members going as of now RE: Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - GTBrandon - 12-04-2017 Great day at the museum, not sure why the photo quality of us looks like it came from the founding years of MM but oh well, had a blast never the less! https://imgur.com/a/oiYvh RE: Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - Jake - 12-04-2017 Nice turnout! Get some of the kiddos to share pictures or details about what was there, if you can. Antique And Classic Automobiles Tour - Senor_Taylor - 12-04-2017 So cool! All of the new faces!
