New forum software is live! - Jake - 09-14-2017
Our installation of phpBB dated back to my sophomore year at JMU, which was... a while ago. It was time for an upgrade. So, here we are on myBB now.
There will be some bumps in the road as we work on fully migrating to the new software. Please leave feedback here and I/others can address it. I'll be working on getting user ranks back. Avatars should be able to be uploaded to the site now (!).
The forums natively support video embeds from several sources, but you will have to go back and update old video links unless I can figure out a mass query to run that updates 'em all. Give me a bit on that, or if someone else is good with queries, hit me up.

Oh and something needs to be done about Apoc's signature. It's about size 38 font lol.

There is some sort of issue with threads with a ton of pages. For instance clicking on the 134th page of useless gadgets gives me an error saying the specified thread doesn't exist.

I find this a little bit hard to tell where one reply begins, and the other ends. Especially when there is a bold line for an embedded quote.

You're not the only one - Rex said the same thing and I see the issue on my work monitors. My home laptop emphasizes things a bit more so it's skewed. Will try to fix that and probably remove some of the yellow icons/lines. It was cool at first but it's a bit much IMO now.

Agreed on the contrast, but thanks for putting in the wrench time! Curious, did the UI have to change with the backend updates? I loved the simplicity of the old style.
Oh one more question, any chance the old avatars are cached somewhere? I have no idea where the original of mine is and can't get it from archive.org
