FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma -SOLD - Senor_Taylor - 06-15-2017

Hey kids! The time has come, and I have been convinced. Consuella 2.0 is destined to be replaced Now, I won't tell you guys exactly what the plan is just yet, but I think it'll be cool.

Joey and I are going to prepare the truck later this week, but I've got some time before my day starts to make a quick post. I don't suspect any of you will buy this, but here goes.

2003 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab V6 4x4 TRD Offroad Package
- 3.4 liter V6 with 161,000 miles
- 265/70/16 BFG Rugged Terrain tires that will pass inspection, but probably should be replaced in the next year
- Every Feature offered on a first gen Tacoma except the rare moonroof and the tow package (tow hitch and a different clutch fan)
- Rear diff locker wired to work in 2-Hi
- Lifted 3" on OME Dakar rear leaf springs with Bilstein 5125 extended length shocks rear
- Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks in the front
- Rear diff breather relocate
- Brake proportioning valve bracket to account for the lift
- Redline fluids in both diffs and transfer case ~20,000 miles ago
- Transmission drain and fill ~20,000 miles ago
- Timing belt (but I don't believe water pump) 40,000 miles ago, Fuel Filter
- Optima yellow top battery installed 4 years ago
- New plugs and wires installed less than 4000 miles ago
- Silver Husky bed toolbox
- 4XInnovations Rock Sliders
- Kenwood Double Din Touch Screen Head Unit with wires ran for amp install under driver seat
- Uniden 520 CB Radio with Wilson 1000 5 foot whip
- Frame recall under coating, rear spare tire carrier replaced under warranty
- 18" Magnaflow muffler with downturn to clear leaves
- Deck Plate Mod
- All weather rubber floor mats from Factory
- I also will throw in an 4 OEM Cloth Floor Mats, extended length SS Rear Brake Line, Diff Drop, and a set of 15x7 Steel Wheels all uninstalled.

As you guys know, I've offroaded this quite a bit. So here's the bad
- It's muddy on the bottom and the engine bay
- It has scratches, but 99% of them will come out with a buff and polish
- Something hit the roof before I owned it and it has a few small rust spots but you never see it, small scratch to the middle on one side of the bed
- The rear shocks are really long and can bottom out if you putt more than a few thousand pounds in the bed
- Needs tires in the future
- Front bumper valence was damaged at Flagpole knob, but isn't noticeable unless you look for it
- General wear and surface rust
- Driver side seat plastic is cracked on the side
- Suspension is very stiff since it's an heavily upgraded leaf pack
- Blower motor made a few noises a couple of months ago, but stopped.
- One of the rivets on the rear quarter window was replaced with a bolt and nut

Overall, this is a great truck, just I need more interior space and something better for long drives with a few more creature comforts for the commute into Tyson's. I trust this truck to the moon and back. No leaks, nothing frightens me about it, I've taken very good care of it when I wasn't beating on it.

Joey and I are cleaning it up soon, but here are some pictures of it really dirty.

man, I've been helping a co-worker shop for one recently and they just do not depreciate! He ended up buying a new one since it was within a couple grand of ones with 30k miles. Good luck, can't wait to see what the next scheme is.

Truth. No exaggeration, my buddy bought a new Tacoma WT in 2013?, drove it 25k miles in a year, then traded it in for more money than he paid for it new. Crazy.

Updated with Pics, pre-Joey. Price will only go up once me and Joey give her a good scrubbing!

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - JPolen01 - 06-17-2017

You're going to raise the price because you cleaned it?

Also, can anyone give me a ride around 4 or 5 on Monday to Front Royal? I may need to uh... pick up something.

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - Senor_Taylor - 06-22-2017

I've been ignoring calls on my phone at work all week without really thinking about it. Realized today those were probably people interested. My parking pass expires on the 4Runner on the 26th so one of y'all should buy it before then. Thanks.

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - Senor_Taylor - 07-05-2017

Still for sale. Multiple calls and emails a day yet no one has come to look. I must smell and they know it.

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - Senor_Taylor - 07-12-2017

Okay, this isn't funny anymore. Someone buy pls

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - ScottyB - 07-12-2017

you have now broken the record for the longest amount of time a used toyota truck has been for sale with nothing catastrophically wrong with it

Yeah, I'm at a complete loss. If this was for sale around Lynchburg it would have been gone before I posted it. So many people asking to come look then getting cold feet.

I sold my old Tundra and a 95ish Yota pickup with a blown head gasket up there, both in a matter of like a day. Dunno what's going on with yours! What online sources do you have it on?

Craigslist in 4 areas, the NOVA Overlanding page on Facebook, and TacomaWorld.

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - ScottyB - 07-12-2017

have you posted it in the for-sale section of any toyota forums?

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - JustinG - 07-12-2017

did I miss the price somewhere?

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - JPolen01 - 07-12-2017

How is your price compared to others for sale? No bites says you are priced too high to me.

Re: FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma - Senor_Taylor - 07-12-2017

It's on TacomaWorld, which I checked after this post and noticed I had like 3 people inquire, whoops. I started the higher than average, but not crazy. Now I'm at 8000. Did I not post price on here?

I really suck at selling cars.
