Princess Blanca : The NA6 - *insertusernamehere* - 06-03-2017

First, I was all like "mmmm yes gimme all dat LS400 goodness, wrap me in luxury and whip me with a V8." but then I was like I don't need all that car.

I'm here for fun, so a Miata it is!

Drives like a maita, smells like a miata, looks like a miata, y'all aren't new to this. It's the car Scott was selling. I'm looking forward to driving the hell out of this. It's been two years since my e36, so two years since owning a fun car and I couldn't be more ready. Probably gonna autox it a good bit and whenever I can afford a rollbar it'll get it but i'm not really focusing on that right now. Brakes, tires, suspension as i feel to do em. The suspension is surprisingly tight and firm. Good car, thanks Scott!

Oh boy. Welcome to the family! We have so many Miatas right now in MM. You, me, James, Zach, Caio, and Ryan need to get them all together and line them up NA6, Na8, NB1, NB2, NC1, NC2

Re: Princess Blanca : The NA6 - JPolen01 - 06-04-2017

Nice pick up. MM might be able to field our own miata racing series at this point.

Was this in the chat? How are you not going to invite your MiataBros 2 miles from Joey?

Dig it big time.

Bring that shit around. I wanna feel the shifter and we can probably squeeze that little bastard in the garage with the M's.

Got it on a lift today. Spotless underneath. I think they were upper ball joints maybe? That had a tear in the boot. It drives fine and passed inspection despite the tear but for the sake of maintaining such good condition I'm gonna replace those this summer. Where is this vehicle from? Neither of mine were that clean.

Re: Princess Blanca : The NA6 - *insertusernamehere* - 06-10-2017

Today was a fun day. The other day I was about to back into a spot and the realized I forgot to hit CVS on the way home so I kept going around while in neutral. Well i dunno what happened but i forgot to push the clutch and muscle memory kicked in and I slipped it into first anyway. About 2 seconds later I had a small heart attack realizing what happened and remembered that I used to do that in my first car. My first car was a 5 speed corolla and the gearbox was super rubbery and i could effortlessly go all the way up to 5 and back without the clutch. I never did it again after that because the e36 grinded the one time i tried it. WELL I was bored at home today and the weather was just peachy so, i spent the entire day playing with it today in the Miata and its not as easy as it was in the Corolla but she'll do it. I can downshift for any gear and i can upshift from 1 -> 2 but no other. I got 2 -> 3 once but only once. No one really talks about doing this, anyone else play with omitting the third pedal?

Disclaimer before y'all hop on me: i use the clutch 99.99999% of the time, i have to really pay attention to the revs and speed to pull this off. And no i haven't grinded it, or plan to do it often.

Supposedly VA all it's life and always garaged (based on what the previous owner told me and the condition it is in)

Re: Princess Blanca : The NA6 - ryangreen1 - 06-11-2017

On my corolla I could go up all the way to 4th without the clutch but only down from 5-4 and 4-3, only did it a few times. I always used to slide it out of gear into neutral to coast until dad got mad when he saw me do that and said I was gonna blow the thing up.
