1991 Miata - Scott - 08-05-2016 1991 Miata, 196k, all belts replaced (including timing) 5k ago. Odometer miles are not "driven" miles, it has spent the last 15 years being pulled behind an RV (still has the sweet tow bar attached, it looks like it bolts on at the tow hooks). Interior is in good shape, soft top looks good and comes with the factory hardtop. It was just inspected in July. Valve cover leaks, the engine bay is very dirty, and the passenger window is very slow and it needs a right rear wheel bearing, I haven't tried tightening it yet, but lets just assume it needs to be replaced. All panels have matching VIN numbers. Needs a little love but it's a nice solid car. Re: 1991 Miata - Senor_Taylor - 08-05-2016 Looks like it could clean up nicely! Free hardtop! Re: 1991 Miata - Scott - 08-06-2016 Senor_Taylor Wrote:Looks like it could clean up nicely! Free hardtop! Exactly. I thought I would pass it along to someone who has the time to do something with it. There is "plenty" of room left for someone to come out ahead (can is worth at least 3k w/o the hard top), I just don't have the time with the new race car build going on. That being said, if it doesn't sell, it can sit until I have the time to do something with it. The early cars are now in the appreciating stage. Plus antique tags..... Re: 1991 Miata - Senor_Taylor - 08-06-2016 Is it SNC? I'd pick it up if I had the money. I could use a hard top Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk Re: 1991 Miata - Scott - 08-06-2016 Senor_Taylor Wrote:Is it SNC? I'd pick it up if I had the money. I could use a hard top Yes it is, but there isn't any wobble. The only people scared of the SNC motor are those who aren't well educated on the subject. It's not a big deal, they've either all broken by now or have been screwed up during a botched timing belt job. The only crank noise failure I've ever had was on a '95 due to a previous owner swapping the belt. Re: 1991 Miata - Scott - 08-10-2016 sold. |
