Track Night in America at Dominion Raceway? (May 10) - G.Irish - 03-02-2016
Thinking about trying this out for $150. I figure it will be fairly easy to just take off from work a few hours early, get some track time in, then be home to put the baby to bed. Anyone else interested?

Signed up, have a coworker who's coming out for his first time on track too.

Welp, this kinda sucks :? Event has been canceled, registration switched to the June 21st date. Apparently the track isn't ready. There's been chatter from multiple car and moto track day orgs about Dominion Raceway's lack of preparedness and safety. From the sounds of it there are some walls too close to the track right now, and paving may or may not be complete.
One of the moto orgs straight up cancelled every event they had scheduled there this year, and this is an org that runs bikes at Shenandoah. Makes me think this may never be a track that can host bikes safely.
Hopefully it'll at least be a nice alternative to Summit every now and then for cars, and maybe they'll get karting going there too.

the new date is just before the NASA MA event that is supposed to be there. It might be worth taking the day off and going.
