Wachovia - damnit458 - 10-03-2004 Anybody know of a wachovia in Harrisonburg or on campus that is closer than the one in valley mall? I hafta make the walk/take the bus there some time this week to cash a check/do some other stuff for work, and Im trying to find the closest one. Oh and Im curious about something else. If you guys worked at college, how often a week did you work? Or how many hours I guess. Im workin 4 days a week right now, I think im gonna step it up to 5 since my drug class is done. Trying to put away as much money as I can for this summer when I look for a car . But my dad keeps tellin me to cut back the work...I dunno, just curious as to your opinions. School work wise im doin fine so i see no reason to cut it backHonda civic cx hb here I come  Re: Wachovia - JohnC - 10-03-2004 damnit458 Wrote:Anybody know of a wachovia in Harrisonburg or on campus that is closer than the one in valley mall? I worked 10-20 hours a week every semester except for fall of freshman year. It didn't affect my grades (at least no more than anything else) - and working up in the Medialab let me spend a lot of time doing CS homework or personal projects while getting paid
- damnit458 - 10-03-2004 were you able to put away any money? At the rate im goin ill be makin about $550 a month. But then it has to cover pretty much everything here. Im tryin to head into next summer with about 2k or more, pretty much starting from scratch. I think ill be able to save some, funny how as soon as I actually have money to spend i dont spend it.... - WRXtranceformed - 10-03-2004 There's a Wachovia on main street across from Anthony's pizza, before the Sheetz - bluhayz - 10-03-2004 I need a job... anybody got some INs at any cool place to work? - Dave - 10-03-2004 i average ~25 hours/week. I think it affected my grades a little bit, but effective time management is the most important part (read: you have to cut back on the amount of time you spend drooling on autotrader, ebay, etc and perhaps limit the number of forums you cruise). - JohnC - 10-03-2004 damnit458 Wrote:were you able to put away any money? I was able to pay most of my bills and cover a ~$200.00 car payment, but that was about it - maybe a little bit extra to go out once in a while. I didn't save any money during the school year - all of my savings came from summer jobs. My folks covered rent and a 5 punch meal plan - that was dependent on my grades staying up though. - .RJ - 10-03-2004 Dave Wrote:but effective time management is the most important part Dave needs to write a book on time management. - Maengelito - 10-03-2004 .RJ Wrote:Dave Wrote:but effective time management is the most important part as if he doesnt have enough things to do already. i'm pretty sure he somehow unlocked like a 30 hour day and hasnt told any of us how to do it - damnit458 - 10-03-2004 Maengelito Wrote:.RJ Wrote:Dave Wrote:but effective time management is the most important part lol ill be unlocking a 35 hour one soon with the way things are going |
