Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 11-29-2015 Hey y'all I have been thinking about maybe having an MM get together at my farm south of Bridgewater. Maybe have it early in the semester in January or February when nothing much else is going on. I could get a fire pit going out on the patio for smores and maybe have a turducken-esque kind of potluck where everyone brings beverages and foods to share. I could make an entree and a desert. Any thoughts on this? Yay? Nay?
Re: Get together down on the Farm - BLINGMW - 11-30-2015 Yeah man, sounds good I want to go! Re: Get together down on the Farm - Kaan - 11-30-2015 We would be down Re: Get together down on the Farm - Jake - 11-30-2015 Tell me when. Re: Get together down on the Farm - 95SVTCobra - 11-30-2015 Count me in for this one  Re: Get together down on the Farm - davej - 11-30-2015 can't get much more local. i'd be in if we're around then. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 12-01-2015 Awesome! What day works best for everybody? It seems like a Friday or Saturday Night would work best leaning on Saturday as it gives more time for those outside of the Valley to make the trip. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Senor_Taylor - 12-01-2015 Sounds interesting. I'm a maybe! Depending on timing. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 12-08-2015 Okay I have made the Facebook Event Page and have selected January 16th at 5:00 as the date of the get together I can change it to later if it conflicts with too many people's schedules. Here is the FB event - https://www.facebook.com/events/1523131221337046/ Re: Get together down on the Farm - Senor_Taylor - 12-24-2015 Do you want me to invite all of the current members on the FB page? Re: Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 12-25-2015 Yes by all means please do! Re: Get together down on the Farm - Senor_Taylor - 01-02-2016 Can you make a "host" on the page so I can invite everyone? Unfortunately I can't make it. My neighbor's going-away party to Europe is that day. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 01-04-2016 Taylor I made you a co-host on the event page. Sorry you'll miss all the fun
Re: Get together down on the Farm - Senor_Taylor - 01-04-2016 Yeah, I'm pretty bummed. I'll be sure to get everyone invited. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 01-04-2016 Sweet! Looks like there will be quite a bit of baked goods as I have many holiday goodies my parents have frozen. I may have some leftover alcohol from my Dad's office party. I have a pull out couch and an extra bedroom to spare if anyone needs to crash at the farm. I should also strongly recommend DD's and advise against any shenanigans in the Bridgewater area as the cops will nail anyone for even the slightest issue. This is the 'safest town' in Virginia which means they are bored out of their minds. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Gordonovski - 01-04-2016 I have work at 9:30 that Saturday, so I might be able to swing by for a little bit but can't drink or stay too long.
Re: Get together down on the Farm - BLINGMW - 01-15-2016 I'd like to come by for a couple hours and bring a food, but am stuck with the kids this weekend... anyone else bringing kids and/or is it ok if I bring them? Re: Get together down on the Farm - davej - 01-15-2016 BLINGMW Wrote:I'd like to come by for a couple hours and bring a food, but am stuck with the kids this weekend... anyone else bringing kids and/or is it ok if I bring them? I was trying to get there also for a bit and it would be easier if the kids were in tow, so I'll second a vote for short MMers. Does anyone know where it is exactly? maps shows it just over the river as you leave town, but the address also comes up for the Simmons horse farm, which is down the road a mile or two. Re: Get together down on the Farm - Nate the Great - 01-16-2016 Directions to the farm driving from Harrisonburg: 8620 Warm Springs Pike Bridgewater, VA. follow 42 south of Bridgewater until you see the Simmons Sport Horses (one of the businesses which operates at the farm) turn right and drive all the way up to the house at the end of the lane. Here is the Facebook page link to Simmons Sport Horses - https://www.facebook.com/simmonssporthorses. Call/Text me (540-908-8025) if you get lost. |
