Day-before-autocross Shenanigans? - Jake - 10-06-2015
Hey so... I'm planning on driving down on Saturday of College Solo weekend (the 17th) so I don't have to endure a long drive down and back up on the same day as the autocross.
Anyone want to do dinner, drinks, whatever-the-hell on Saturday afternoon or evening?

I have not heard anything about nighttime fun, no. Might be worth seeing if any other aluMMni are coming, I'm sure I/we'd be in.

I'm not making a FB event because it's just a normal house party. I'm taking the whole weekend off so we can party and show up completely hungover. It'll be a rager like usual. Jake, you're welcome to come as well as every else in MM. It's not going to be some kind of hangout, though. It'll be a lights out, house is full, drunken blur.
A few people in MM are chipping in on the booze since we're tapped from this weekends festivities (And I'm out a $100 pong table and my carpet is done for.)

How's parking? I'll probably drive there, not drink much, and drive to Julie's where I'm staying. I'm at the point where hangovers ain't fun anymore, no matter how great the party was.

Jimmy Madisons is OK. The food is pretty good, but it's on the pricy side. It's a whiskey bar that doesn't have much of a selection of whiskey and every whiskey drink is overpriced by about $2 compared to other places downtown. The beer was priced normally from what I remember though.

The new Pure Eats place is pretty good too and it won't have much of a crowd most likely. They had a special when I was there over the weekend that was $12 for a burger, fries and a beer. Burger and fries were really good.
But yeah, Cuban Burger is good too.

Cuban Burger is great. Its a small hole in the wall kinda place too. Otherwise, we can go to Pale Fire and order Pure Eats, as they deliver to the brewery (its next door).

Ooh, I like the idea of Pale Fire + Pure Eats given there's more space. Let's do that. And then maybe I'll swing by Cuban Burger on my way home on Sunday.
Thinking I'll try to get to HBurg around 4 on Saturday and we can grab dinner at... 6? I'll just bum around town and/or hang out with anyone who's wrenchin' before that.
