Debate tonight - Feersty - 09-30-2004

President Bush vs. Senator Kerry

who's watching?

Trying to think of a drinking game to go along with the debate.

- Jess - 09-30-2004

I'll be watching!

In a word: Strateegery.

stop coveting the drink...

Every time Bush says "terrorist," "evil," "defenders of freedom," "threat," or makes a remark about the military record of Kerry, you should take a shot.

How bout drink the beer

- G.Irish - 09-30-2004

Um, this should be interesting but my prediction from the opening words of Kerry is that Bush will win.

- G.Irish - 09-30-2004

Whoa whoa, "Outsourced the job of killing Bin Laden". Stay tuned folks this should be entertaining.

and every time Kerry says something that contradicts an earlier statement you drink.

I just got back from a long drive from NC, so my brain is a bit fried but Im trying to watch it. What Ive watched so far has Kerry hitting hard on the attacks.
They are both good debaters (master debaters in fact!) so it should be a good show

- Kaan - 09-30-2004

it was a great show! i cant wait to see more!

i do feel bush pulled some punches (maybe under the guide lines of the rules)... then again he could be waiting to pull them.

he never attacked john kerry on his war record... he commended him.... i think he threw a curve to the liberals...

btw, after 17 UN resolutions... someone had to get something done...

- Kaan (aka~ the right wing)

- G.Irish - 09-30-2004

I don't think either side will gain a ton from the debate. I for one, am glad that they didn't waste any time on petty arguments like who served when and where.

I think the big moments for each side were:

Bush: calling out some of Kerry's hazy and contradictory positions and reiterating that Kerry had access to the same prewar intelligence that he did

Kerry: when he criticized Bush for not sending US troops to kill/capture Bin Laden and that he didn't address the N. Korea adequately

- Kaan - 09-30-2004

unfortunately... being the president i'm sure he isnt going to devoldge information that he had/has that other people cant.... even senator kerry. North Korea is being delt with... kerry said bush is going about it the wrong way... well he didnt say how he was going to do it the "right" way... and he sure as hell did explain how he could keep china out of the North Korea issue.

liberals should just start burning the flag again... at least that was a definative statement.[/code]

- Kaan - 09-30-2004

oh yeah and alcohol + debates = a great night in mixed company... liberal/conservative, male/female, wine/beer... i love drunk'n yelling!

Kerry said that he'd set up bilateral talks with North Korea, which would "keep China out of the North Korea issue" as you said. Kerry also said though that China has a legitimate concern with their aggressive neighbor utilizing nuclear power. Just assuming North Korea is being dealt with because the President says so is a little one-dimensional. I sure as hell don't trust everything a political leader says, especially one that's trying to get re-elected heh.

As far as your last comment, that's emotional and completely retarded =p Sorry man, had to call you out on that.

- ViPER1313 - 09-30-2004

This is hard work?
Decisive?

Kerry could have destroyed Bush, but instead decided to go on the defensive. I was very disapointed overall.

- Kaan - 09-30-2004

one dementional = you wont find a picture of a conservative burning the FLAG!

HOW are you going to have bilateral communication with NK and keep CHINA out??????????????? its not an original thought... thrust me.

EDIT: i'm going for my TS so i cant talk about what i've read in the last two weeks

- Kaan - 09-30-2004

and dont post political sites that have photochoped shit on the page... come on guys...

this might be the most liberal bunch of car guys on the plannet!
have fun with that TRD header on your prius tree huggers!

- WRXtranceformed - 09-30-2004

My car is getting about as good gas mileage as an H2 right now =p

That'll change once the ECU does some more learning after the reflash and the engine continues to break in, but still ugh =/ paying for premium gas is the lose.

- G.Irish - 09-30-2004

Kaan you are the new poster child for not drinking and posting

- Kaan - 09-30-2004

reagan is turning over in his grave being associated with kerry and kennedy like that
