1997 BMW 328i and 1990 Miata - Scott - 05-07-2015 Due to unexpected surgery I need to downsize the "fleet". 1997 BMW 328i. 119k, the original owner bought it new in Germany while in the service and brought it back with him. I purchased it from the original owners nephew who had the cooling system, clutch, and new Michelins (5k on all new parts since). I've replaced the power steering pump, and the lines, and an O2 sensor. Power steering, AC, cruise control, and sunroof. I bought it to commute 200 miles a day with and its really to nice of a car for me to do that too with. I'm replacing it with more of a "beater" that is disposable. It took me 8 months to find a no excuse car and this is it. I found the car in January and went with Jon Felton to take a look at it (as well as asking Jake 1000 questions about it during the process.....) $5,500 obo Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Re: 1997 BMW 328i and 1990 Miata - Senor_Taylor - 05-07-2015 If my budget was way higher, both of these cars look fantastic. OH I SEE HOW IT IS, NOT LIKE IVE OWNED ONE FOR SIX DAMN YEARS OR ANYTHING. Sorry to hear you have to thin down the heard, that is a freakishly clean E36, which has become a pretty rare breed. If I come across anyone looking for a solid one I'll pass it along. Re: 1997 BMW 328i and 1990 Miata - V1GiLaNtE - 05-07-2015 Must. Not. Spend. Money I just got for Subaru.. I'm pretty sure no one has never sat in any other seat other than the drivers seat until I got the car...... It's one I'm going to regret selling, but it is what it is at this point....... Re: 1997 BMW 328i and 1990 Miata - SlimKlim - 05-07-2015 I stuck it up in the idle chatter thread on bimmerfest where a lot of the hardcore addicts hang out, might generate a nibble or two. It's a shame it's not an M3, I know a guy looking for one as close to collector condition as possible and he's willing to pay for it too. Edit - actually serious about this, the Corolla has been in my wife's and my possession since new and would make the perfect daily commuter for you. Since we bought it the only thing it's needed is a piece of trim for the roof and wear and tear items. All maintenance is up-to-date, new tires, I'm pretty crazy about the preventive maintenance on my cars. I want to keep it till 200,000 miles but I also have car OCD Re: 1997 BMW 328i and 1990 Miata - Senor_Taylor - 05-10-2015 BLINGMW Wrote:ScottyB Wrote:ha, awesome. this your first miata Chan?Yes! My E36 didn't look that nice 15 years ago. Re: 1997 BMW 328i and 1990 Miata - Senor_Taylor - 05-11-2015 I hope someone in MM picks up the BMW. That car is too nice to leave the FaMMily. Channing... it's on. I'll see you at the strip. |
