My friend Christina was an instructor at one of those types of events, up in Philly. She said every car they had was ragged to shit, with old, terrible tires and illuminated CELs. She got to whip an F430 and something else through the course and said it wasn't that much fun because the cars were in such poor shape behind the shiny paint.

Still seems like an interesting experience. Maybe if I didn't have 0 experience in anything other than an hour in a Miata, I'd consider something like this.

That's probably the best time to do it, you won't have any real perspective on how slow and far from the limit they are actually making you go.

My fiance did one with her father and had some fun, but it is not a real autox in the sense of "BURN IT ALL DOWN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE".

She had more fun autocrossing my previous m3 race car, but she still suggests people to do it. Just not serious car people.
