Project Turbo Wagon: 2002 Subaru WRX - V1GiLaNtE - 09-15-2014

Well, after much bitching from the peanut gallery and leaving the Washington Navy Yard ( which sucks ass for service) let's get this shit started

Year: 2002
Make: Subaru
Model: WRX
Color: Sedona Red Pearl
Mileage:109k

Go ahead Rex, stare in disbelief as this is probably the only other SRP wagon in existence. At least that I've seen in person.

This little gem popped up on craigslist and so I said fuggit. I've been wanting a wrx wagon for as long as I can remember so I pounced.

I will be the third owner with the 2nd owner purchasing it at 40k in 2007. A little ol FDA gentleman has kept this thing in his care and has documented every dealer service for pretty much everything. Every major service interval has been done by Stohlman Subaru for the better half of 7 years.

Timing belt was done 3k miles ago and overall for being commuted from McLean to Md everyday mechanically and cosmetically it's in good shape.

I don't plan on going stripper money crazy on this car. Semi comfy dd with some umph. Mainly I will be bringing any maintainance items up to speed and then small things like uppipe to prevent grenading the turbo from the cat and a short shifter and new bushings all around before a possible tune. This won't get Polen's uhellaunfunctional treatment. Maybe some STI springs for a little firmness and drop. I still want the ground clearance for going camping, biking, shit hauling.

Car came with motegi's and factory alloys. I'll sell the motegi's. It already has a borla cat back which sounds nice and probably provided a little performance.

Stay tuned.

It's not a wagon. We've had this argument on the forum already.

Teasing isn't what gets you the big bucks Big Grin

Re: Project Turbo Wagon: 2002 Subaru WRX - JPolen01 - 09-16-2014

This thread is bullshit

Re: Project Turbo Wagon: 2002 Subaru WRX - Sully - 09-16-2014

Your license plate is invalid. Wrx's are not long long enough to fit into the wagon family. It's a five door or hatch back.

I agree with Polen. This thread sucks

Why does everyone from VA insist on putting the obvious on their license plate?

Why are you such a PLT H8R?

Re: Project Turbo Wagon: 2002 Subaru WRX - CaptainHenreh - 09-16-2014

This thread is swiftly becoming dildos.

The fucking phone you used to take a screengrab of the license plate has a camera on it, don't lie to me boy. At least tell us what fuckin' color it is.

You and my girlfriend should get together and pow-wow, she can have an entire conversation on how infuriating it is when a vanity plate has the make, model, or color of the car on it. She gets red mist every time we see one out on the road. Confusedhock:

I will be sure to introduce myself at the next event. I guess it is so cheap in VA that everyone puts the dumbest shit they can think of on it? Nothing makes me angrier than seeing "Billy" "Jeep" etc on a license plate.

Re: Project Turbo Wagon: 2002 Subaru WRX - SlimKlim - 09-16-2014

Lol. You might want to take my woman for a test drive before you sign the papers on yours. I never thought anyone could get as fired about about license plates as her, y'all might be soulmates or somethin.

Re: Project Turbo Wagon: 2002 Subaru WRX - Sully - 09-16-2014

Well since Cabell won't post the car, we can just use this space for bullshittin

Hey polen, how much does it cost in MD for a vanity plate? Cause I don't consider it cheap here. I guess it kinda is but I'm always broke when it comes time to pay registration. It's like what $25 per year plus $10 if you do it on a custom plate like the jmu ones. That's almost doubles the cost of registration

Ooh, can I join this party?

I think my favorite so far has been seeing a gray B6 Audi A4 with the tag "AUDI A4" on it. Like, really? Is that what it is? Did you think of that all by yourself?!
