33 Cruise 9/14/14 - nismosam - 09-03-2014
Hey all, we'll be having a cruise on the Sunday of the 14th to get the new members out there actually riding/driving cars as a club as soon as possible! It's the normal cruise up 33 to the campground we always stop at,so you all know the drill.
Meet time is 2pm in the R1 parking lot, aka baseball lot. We'll be grabbing food together after the cruise at Quaker Steak. :thumbup:

Gonna be at a music festival that weekend. Too bad. I haven't had the 135i out there yet.
Edit: Also, if anyone is down for a long cruise sometime, go to staunton and take 250 out towards Bartow WV. I was on that road for a different music festival a couple weekends ago and it's a better version of 33 W. And there's more than one mountain. And I had no traffic infront of me almost the entire time. And I saw a nasty sounding ZR1 on that road. Overall, it's one of the most fun roads I've been on around here.

It's a 2-3 hour loop, but you can take 33 out of H'burg to Franklin, WV. Then 220 from Franklin WV to Monteray, VA. 250 back over to just before Churchville, VA, and 42 back to Harrisonburg. A large group of MM did this many years ago and it was a wonderful trip.
250 is a tighter, more banked, less traveled version of 33.

That looks like a good route. Any good places to eat on the way to break it up a bit? That's a long time in the car just for a drive.

I vote that route for the Car show so we can get a huge group. We're cruising with the new members, so I personally think we should stick to tried and true 33. Not sure what the other officers thing.
