F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - ViPER1313 - 03-08-2014 Stephanie bought a CX-9 and I'm using her Corolla as a daily now, so this one has to go. I doubt there will be any interest here, but if anyone knows someone who wants a cheap beater that doesn't need any critical mechanical work..... 1993 Saturn SL Unknown Miles (most likely in the range of 72,000 for the 40,000th time from what the previous owner told me) The Good: 33+ MPG Tons of maintainance and new parts put on by previous owner: New Cat-back exhaust 4x Michelin AS tires with 80%+ tread All new brake lines New head-unit w/ 4 new speakers All basic maintenance up to date (new plugs, wires, thermostat and serpentine belt within the past year). The Bad: Headliner is sagging Typical scratches / scrapes in the paint associated with a car that spent 20 years in Arlington The Ugly AC is leaking from the compressor and both fill ports, so it should be considered non-functional Exhaust has a pinhole leak in the down-pipe - front down-pipe prior to cat is original and needs replacement ($90 part) The car runs and drives great - its transmission and engine need nothing. Starts right up and drives fine whether it's 0 or 100 degrees outside. It would make a great beater for someone - it really doesn't need any work just so long as you can live with no AC. $1000 for MMers ![]() ![]()
Re: F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - CaptainHenreh - 03-09-2014 RJ? Re: F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - Maengelito - 03-10-2014 Lunchbox II Re: F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - Jake - 03-10-2014 Taylor should buy this and just hoon the fuck out of it. Re: F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - ViPER1313 - 03-10-2014 Jake Wrote:Taylor should buy this and just hoon the fuck out of it.It really is a fun car to drive. You can use all of its 85hp everywhere and never get into trouble, and it only weights 2300lbs so it's pretty fun to throw around. Re: F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - ViPER1313 - 03-16-2014 So I was doing an oil change on the car and noticed a considerable rust on the front sub-frame underneath the drivers front LCA ball-joint. Short story is that I would say the car needs a new front subframe ($150 part and a day to install). Price now $300 :dunno: - use it as a destruction derby car? SWMBO and I are looking for a somewhat reliable beater, and are just down 70 in Hancock. When is a good time to come out and see it? Re: F/S - 1993 Saturn SL - ViPER1313 - 03-17-2014 Sorry just sold it.
