2006 MINI Cooper S - Mike - 11-27-2013 updated link: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ ... 85528.html Since having the engine mount replaced (and the water pump... bah humbug!), I like the car a lot more, but not enough to warrant a 2nd car and ship it to Oregon. Tell your friends! Car has been babied its entire life. If someone is looking for the enjoyment of a tracked-out '93 Civic in a much more expensive [and some may say cuter] package, this is the car for them. Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - fiveoh2go - 12-02-2013 MPG range you've seen with this car in city/stop-and-go type driving? Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - Mike - 12-09-2013 It is hers so I've never tracked it. http://www.fuelly.com/car/mini/cooper%20s/2006 Car has been detailed and will now be located in Arlington. I need to get around to updating the ad. Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - CaptainHenreh - 12-09-2013 Shame about the slushbox. Nice photos, too
Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - Mike - 12-21-2013 Car still for sale. Forgot to mention, $10k for MMers (that's my actual price; gotta leave that wiggle room in the listed price). Little to no interest... not sure if it is because these things suck or they tend to move in low volume? Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - Apoc - 12-21-2013 My guess is the time of year. Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - JPolen01 - 12-21-2013 Probably because they suck. Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - Mike - 03-18-2014 Car sold at the end of January. So glad none of you bought it and that she didn't convince me to ship it here. Power steering went out in the first month for the new owner. $1800 repair. Fuck Minis. Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - *insertusernamehere* - 03-20-2014 Oh wow at least it wasn't in your ownership either! Similar fate with the cars my family sells, back in the day we had a sentra, it ran fine all 5 years we had it and the day we sold it the guy was driving back home over a mountain and the radiator exploded. Three days after my dad sold his ford capri the new owner crashed and flipped it. When my mom sold the minivan about two weeks later both autosliding doors stopped working. Lastly, I sold my accord last July and in January of this year the lady who bought it sent me a text saying "Hey this is the lady who bought your Accord, the transmissions been dead since August and it hasn't moved since, we know you're not responsible but did you have any ideas this was happening?" And actually yes! But only about four hours prior to selling it. The day I was gonna sell it I drove from Rva to Hburg to NoVa to Rva. On the last leg to Rva the tranny was acting all weird and just began hesitating in ways it never did before. It wouldn't gear down properly and if i was rolling in traffic (so 1st gear) and then accelerated the car would just rev and it would go-stop-go-stop-go until it just caught gear, very jerky too. Lol I begged the car to just make this one final drive for me haha. Once I got out of traffic I shot it for Richmond. Fastest NoVa->Rva trip I ever made haha Re: 2006 MINI Cooper S - Mike - 03-20-2014 Heh. I feel kinda bad, but hey, not my problem. You all must feel terrible.
