Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - G.Irish - 10-18-2013 I've been thinking for a long time that if you combined all of the best movie car chases into a supercut that it'd be pretty entertaining, at least while drunk. I figured I'd start picking up some of the dvd's of the more obscure stuff on ebay/Amazon and begin putting this together over the winter doldrums. Here's a preliminary list but I'm sure there are plenty of car chase scenes I haven't thought about so please post your suggestions. All of the F&F movies Ronin Dirty Harry Rush Driven Bullit Who Am I Quantum of Solace The Spy Who Loved Me Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - Goodspeed - 10-18-2013 Gone in 60 Seconds ('74 original and 2000 remake, extended directors cut) Mad Max (various chases in 1 & 3, most prominently 2) Vanishing Point Bourne Identity (OG Mini FTW) Matrix Reloaded Death Proof Blues Brothers The French Connection I was flipping channels the other day and saw the Chevelle vs. Audi chase in the Tom Cruise Jack Reacher movie (haven't seen it in full). Surprisingly good. Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - SlimKlim - 10-18-2013 The Italian Job, both of them. Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - JPolen01 - 10-18-2013 Plus one on Bourne Identity and Italian Job. Surprisingly good. That was one of the few good parts of the movie, don't bother with the rest. I can only add: Cannonball Run Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - D_Eclipse9916 - 10-18-2013 Goodspeed Wrote:Gone in 60 Seconds ('74 original and 2000 remake, extended directors cut) I have to say the noises that Shelby makes when in the garage and exiting the garage with a good sound system was orgasmic. Even better that Nicholas Cage insisted on doing all the stunts himself. Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - ScottyB - 10-18-2013 Safe House Lethal Weapon 4 Dukes of Hazzard movie 2005 Smokey and The Bandit Bad Boys 2 (honorable mention because its Michael Asplode-all-the-things Bay) Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - BLINGMW - 10-18-2013 CaptainHenreh Wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z5LXyWn3-wheh, Drive, that was a neat movie. Not what I expected at all. I do remember thinking in that chase scene though, damn, I'm PRETTY SURE a Mustang GT can outrun a Chrysler 300 in a straight line. Fortunately it seems to be able to go in reverse just about as quickly, so that's useful. :dunno: CaptainHenreh Wrote:Shit, and of course:Agreed. And they make Caddies REALLY TOUGH in the matrix! Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - ScottyB - 10-18-2013 what killed me with Drive was that they brought in the sound of the stang shifting gears. in reverse. how do you screw that up? IMHO, you'd have to be a pretty intense car guy to pick up on that, and the movie was really good. If the biggest wart it has is "Well a 300c would definitely lose to a coyote stang"...meh, I'll allow it. And the chase is good. Danish people don't drive manual transmissions? Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - BLINGMW - 10-18-2013 ScottyB Wrote:how do you screw that up?It's not a mistake, that's why it wasn't vey fast going forward. The transmission was installed backwards. The protagonist figured it out near the end because he's an excellent driver. Obviously. You can see him starting to figure it out at about 0:47, when he's looking in the mirror like WTF WHY AM I NOT GETTING AWAY. FWIW that kind of thing doesn't spoil a good chase for me either. I can LOL and enjoy at the same time! *edit* OH! And if it's a clip video to watch while drinking, you could include Walter White doing donuts :dunno:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04J0BwFnPa8 Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - Goodspeed - 10-18-2013 I've been meaning to see it, I've heard "To Live and Die in L.A." has a great car chase as well. Oh, besides watching it to see Sharon Stone's vagoo in its prime, Basic Instinct has a good chase or two, with a Lotus Esprit. Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - *insertusernamehere* - 10-18-2013 James Bond(s) The Chase Speed (its all about dat bus) The Transporter(s) Cellular Re: Best Movie Car Chases for a Supercut - G.Irish - 10-18-2013 *insertusernamehere* Wrote:James Bond(s)My favorite Bond chase scene was actually the boat chase from Live and Let Die, maybe I'll throw that one in there.
