WANTED- Front Mount I/C - Jeff - 09-22-2004

Building a custom Turbo Omni and I need a front mount IC. I don't care if its custom (from an old Volvo) or pre-made (Spearco/OBX). I need one for under $100.

You might want to look into a starion/conquest intercooler.

is that the guy with it posted on HT?

- Dave - 09-23-2004

Maeng is referring to me.
I sold it last spring, but I got a lot more than $100 for it. Good luck with that...

- Jeff - 09-23-2004

what is "a lot more" I don't have to much money to spend and I want the best IC for the money, I'm not poor I just have 2 car projects. Smile

- Dave - 09-23-2004

I sold mine for $170.
As for being poor and project cars, check my sig. In this club, I am the king of project cars .
I do have an enormous Spearco FMIC for sale, but I'm trying to get ~$400-$500 for it.

- Jeff - 09-23-2004

Thats understandable, that junk is nice, you wanna trade me for a guitar? haha. Oh to ad to my list I do have a 1971 Dodge Challenger tore down to the frame for resto Smile

- Dave - 09-23-2004

nice.
In ~2 weeks, you'll probably become the project king. I'm dumping off 2 of mine and making one that I'm keeping more reliable. Projects have made me poor for too long and kept me in debt 1.5 years longer than necessary. Good luck with those :-)

- Jeff - 09-23-2004

Any other ideas on an IC? I'ma call some junkyards looking for a mitsu sterion or conquest. Are saab and volvo's good choices? if so what models/years

- 83Rabbit - 09-23-2004

not the volvos, those are crappy ICs, some of the saab ones had metal end tanks and were pretty good, but they were smaller SMICs that had the metal end tanks. The cheapers FMICs youll find will be starions.

- CaptainHenreh - 09-23-2004

If you want an ENORMOUS intercooler, ebay's your place. You can get a third of ford powerstroke ic core, it's immense. Just needs endtanks and piping.

Cheap, too.

- Jeff - 09-23-2004

I love these forums, its like instant info!! What do you guys think of the Omni? Check the web link under the picture.

- 83Rabbit - 09-23-2004

is it the shelby one or GHL?
either way turbo dodge omnis rock!

- Jeff - 09-23-2004

Its an "America" edition from 1989. I have a 2.2L from a lebaron that I am putting in it. This weekend of next I am pulling my motor and starting the rebuild. It will have better then GLH power and brakes when it is finished. Smile I have all the original mopar books and wiring diagrams to help me along so its only a matter of months.
