Say hello to the b00sted eurotrash sedan! - CaptainHenreh - 09-21-2004

1991 Volvo 940 SE Turbo

700 dollah.

Seems to run ok, needs some LCA Bushings soon. Anyone want to help sometime? It's got a teeny-tiny-incee-wincee turbocharger. It's smaller than my fist, literally. But it pulls hard enough, is very very comfortable, and has a butter smooth transmission. Everything, from the heated leather to the cruise control functions like new, and it has good inspection, good tires, and good brakes. All hail the turbo beater brick.

So that makes two turbo cars I have, then.

nice find, I've always had a soft spot for the euro-trash bricks..

TRBOBRK

w00t for b00st!

- ScottyB - 09-22-2004

what the hell? man you have more parts/cars flying around your place than ? on this forum! nice find though, bricks are kinda cool in a sleeper sort of notion. V8 swap?

ps, that turbo is probably huge compared to what they put on 1.8t's!

-on the left is a KO3 (stock on most 1.8t's) impeller compared a turbonetics 60-1 impeller...yikes-

yeah, the brick's turbo is a bit bigger, but not by much.

I know. It's a teeny Mitsu turbo. Some TD04...maybe I can port the exhaust housing and put a 14B in there? Or maybe I can leave it stock, while I save up money to pay off the credit card and replace the head gasket on the Supra. Right, Julie?

I'm looking forward to it. I think it's going to be benficial for both of us. That's why I bought the 'vo. I can drive it while I fix the supra, and then keep it for a general runabout.

My mother couldn't be happier. She's always wanted a Volvo, and it'll be nice to have a family general runabout. It's really the perfect beater. Comfortable, reliable (as long as I take care of it), winter package, turbocharged, MADE OF STEEL, (crazy fucking swedes) and it's not THAT ugly.

Ok, maybe it is. But still.

- ScottyB - 09-22-2004

thats awesome about the supra Rex! i had heard rumors you and Dave were switching up. i think its great that the mark III is staying in the MM family Big Grin

- Jewels - 09-22-2004

I'm really excited about the switch too. It'll give Rex the opportunity to get outta a little debt and he'll still get a fun car in the long run. I can't wait to get the supra up and running... And I can deal with riding in a volvo, considering it has heated leather seats. Plus I still get to see the 240 which I have finally decided I liked... But its better in Daves hands I believe....

shut up pansy ass

as for the Supra, as long as I don't own it, I think I won't have any problems with it. In this case, I'll still get a 240 as a daily driver and track whore, just have a few more mods already done that I was going to do anyways. So, once I get the red 240 up to DD status, the black hatch will be for sale. You guys should start checking you financing; a pretty cheap, stock, good condition RWD 240 will be on the market soon.....
