Smithland Elementary Car Show - 4/20/2013 - BFisch06 - 03-21-2013
Jon mentioned this on MM's Fb page a while back, but I tracked down some details and figured I'd start a thread.
Smithland Elementary School in Harrisonburg, VA will be having a Car Show April 20, 2013 (the weekend after the MM Car Show).
From the poster: "Students at Smithland Elementary School are participating in a reading incentive program called 'Revved Up for Reading'. They have set reading goals and are keeping track of their minutes. For every 100 minutes they add a car to our race track. We have a friendly competition goings between the girls and the boys. To help celebrate and motivate we are hosting a car show. If you have a cool car that you would be willing to share we would love to have you. Your contribution will no doubt inspire and excite our students' imaginations and drive."
Note that there is a contact person to register with.
My vote is that we have the same level of attendance here as we do for our own car show. My wife is a teacher and its these kinds of events that they'll remember for years to come.

Might be out of town, but if I'm around I'm in. Car should hopefully still be in decent shape from the MM show haha

Any interest in bringing a few cars out sometime the week of April 8th? We can go any time of the day we please. Just gotta give them a heads up. Chad vs Matt Mustang battle would be cool for the kids.

Yeah I might be able to work something out. Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday might be best for me but my work schedule can be flexible for a good cause :thumbup:

As far as going the week of the 8th, I can do Monday afternoon (1:30 or later), or Friday between 11:30 and 1:30. I could do Thursday morning as well, but I have class at noon and will be coming back from an interview in North Carolina late the night before.
