WTB: Your Not-Destroyed All Seasons - ScottyB - 03-14-2013 205/55-16 preferred. looking for tires worn evenly tire-to-tire, and there needs to be some meat left on the tread. the more aggressive the tread the better. gearing up for rally-x this year and i've already got wheels figured out, but no tires. rally tires don't run in my wheel size and snow tires have marshmallow sidewalls that can get yanked off the bead, so they're out too. decent all-seasons will do the job. SUBARU GUYS - if you have your stock Potenza RE92's, and want to get rid of them, i'll take 'em if they meet the above criteria. we can exchange pick up at VIR or the next karting event unless you're in NC. I've got a set of 205-60-16 snow tires. Do you think those are not suitable? Do you think those are not suitable? right on! snows SHOULD be fine, everyone i've talked to at events mentioned running snows at some point or another starting out. the issue is that the sidewalls are quite soft and tall, and if you get into deep ruts without enough air pressure you'll peel the tire off of the bead. the other thing i've heard is that in mud they will pack up like nobody's business because the sipes fill up. but then again, its probably not a good idea to run in the mud anyway ideally what you want is a stiff tire with big open tread blocks, but those are few and far between. what i like about running snows though, is that you effectively have a great set of practical winter tires when you're in the off season, and then you can still use them during the warm months for fun stuff like this. i'd go ahead and run your snow tires with like 40psi in all 4, and just avoid going full lock in deep ruts. if i can't find some all seasons worth a damn i'm just going to buy some blizzaks locally and run high pressures in them...and maybe bring my other set of tires to the events in case i do pull a tire off the rim. be careful running ice tires on hard pack clay like what you find at summit point. you're better off running your all season or summer tires. it will chew soft compound ice tires apart as such:

I'll read up a bit more on it as events get closer to assess the situation but I'll most likely bring the snow tires as well since the Fozzy has a ton of room.
