Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - Jake - 11-27-2012 Posting for a coworker of mine. He's new to the area and between he and his wife, they have one car right now. It's big enough to tote the kids around, but he needs something to use 99% for commuting. Max budget is $3500, must not need a ton of work to be on the road for 6-12 months. That Probe GT that's posted in Chad's thread would be perfect. He's fine with manual or automatic, no need for extra seats or safety for kidlings as it's just him. Anyone selling anything of that nature? Can be truck, car, airplane, whatever will get him from Rockville to Dulles. Re: Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - HAULN-SS - 11-27-2012 What exactly does non busted mean? Im kind of getting in the mood to sell the malibu, but probably more about 5k..but its a lot of years newer than the probe (just high miles) Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - Jake - 11-27-2012 Like... Turn-key-and-go. No need for new bushings or tie rods right away. He'd throw tires or brakes at it but doesn't want to do much else. And he's firm on $3500. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Re: Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - HAULN-SS - 11-27-2012 well just something to throw out there. The front grill is broken, but the rest of the car is in decent shape. Just put in a new battery and new front brake pads and rotors. Drive it every day with no worries. Re: Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - Jake - 11-27-2012 Cool, I'll let him know
Re: Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - Dave - 11-27-2012 Jake Wrote:Cool, I'll let him knowI've got a 94 Accord 4-door with 115k that I'll sell for $3500. It's in great shape, mechanically superb (just did T-belt, new front brakes, new front tires), with the 5-speed manual. I drive it every day for the awesome mileage, reliability, and utilitarian economy, and honestly it's kinda fun sometimes. Not actively shopping to sell it, but that's a price that could pull it out of my hands. Everything works, but the speedo is pretty intermittent - someday I'll dig into it, but it doesn't bother me b/c the tach gives me a good idea how fast I'm going... Re: Coworker WTB: Cheap, not-busted transportation - Jake - 11-27-2012 Dave, I'll pass it along - thanks
