FS: 'Green Hell' - my '95 E36 BMW - Jake - 11-14-2012 I'm listing this super early to see if there is any interest on MM or through friends-of-friends. This is the "ultimate daily-driving machine" - best example of an E36 non-M I've seen in a while. It took me a few months to find one worth DDing and I really do enjoy it still. But, it'll have to go sometime in December I think. I have a brand new, yellow, turbocharged hatchback on order, and once it's a few weeks out from delivery, Green Hell has to be out of the driveway. Basics 1995 BMW 325i sedan 158k miles (going up, I commute 30 miles a day in it) 5-speed manual (not manuel, you get no day laborers with this purchase) Sport package Oxford Green I over Schwarz black leather sport seats 17" M-Contours (thanks, DJ/Tyler), staggered, with new-ish Kumho Ecsta tires on all four wheels History It's a California car originally. Was leased for the first 3 years in CA, guy turned it in, they sold it CPO to a Navy guy. Navy guy moved from CA to Norfolk, VA and kept it there for a while, then moved up to Vienna, VA. While he was in Vienna, he had the car re-painted at BMW of Fairfax's body shop. The car was originally Schwarz II, and it's now Oxford Green I. My guess is the clearcoat was failing on the black, and instead of just fixing those panels, the guy had it all re-done. The shop did a fantastic job, even got the door jambs and trunk/hood areas. The only spot you can really tell it was black originally is the strut towers. Navy Guy sold it to a couple up in MD. The wife drove it for six months when she was in-between cars, and they sold it to me. Clean title, clean AutoCheck. I'm the 4th owner. I have the AutoCheck PDF and the BMW ETK options list that I can email. No rust, and (somehow) no leaks. Fixes & Mods & Awesome Things I haven't done a whole bunch of mods on this car, but I fixed a few things that needed attention. In the last 10k miles, the car has had:
I've added these things:
Things That Are Great About This E36 It has...
Things That Could Bother You If You Really Care If I were to keep this car, I'd address these things, at some point. None of them affect drivability in any way.
I'm nitpicking, but figured more info is better than not enough. Asking price is going to be $4500 to start. Looking to sell mid-to-late December. Great car for an MMer looking for their first car, or someone needing a DD that's entertaining yet still does 30 mpg highway.
