Clicking links - JPolen01 - 11-08-2012 Since the great forum debacle of 2012 whenever I click links in a post it redirects in the same window. It used to open a second tab. Now I have to right click and say "open in another tab" Is there a setting that got messed up? Been using chrome before and after the forum went down so it shouldn't be that. Any ideas? Re: Clicking links - davej - 05-15-2013 i finally got mildly annoyed enough of having to center click links to pop a new tab that i'm going to resurrect Jon's post. Clicking links - JPolen01 - 05-15-2013 Somebody please fix this shit. Re: Clicking links - JustinG - 05-15-2013 JPolen01 Wrote:Somebody please fix this shit. What she said. Re: Clicking links - davej - 05-16-2013 i'll just leave this here. https://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/links- ... w-windows/ note - it won't fix current links unless the OP edits/saves, but it should work going forward. Re: Clicking links - Ken - 05-17-2013 ^please. I thought it was just me, this is minor, but annoying. Re: Clicking links - CaptainHenreh - 05-17-2013 Is it really that onerous to middle click? Re: Clicking links - Sully - 05-17-2013 What the shit is middle click? I solved this problem by not clicking links. If it doesn't load on this page, I don't want to see it. Evolution happened and the 'mouse, grew three buttons, one on the left, one on the right, and a third in the middle. Now circa late 1900's/early 2000's it became popular to have multiple windows or tabs opened in a browser for ease of use and viewing pleasure. Developers, being the cunning bunch they are, configured default behavior for the often overlooked and under utilized middle button to generate a new tab when using it to click a link....hence middle click. And that, Sully, is the story of how I met your mother. Re: Clicking links - Sully - 05-17-2013 Ahh I thought that might be it but then figured it was some special Mac crap that I wasn't cool enough for. I remember my first mouse, that shit had two buttons and a mother f***in bouncy ball inside it. (It didn't really bounce though ) None of this fancy laser shit.
