Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - davej - 05-11-2015

is it not in production, or demand so high that even after 3 years you're still in line?

davej Wrote:is it not in production, or demand so high that even after 3 years you're still in line?

Only recently actually hit "shelves" and now demand is so high that I can't find one in stock. And don't care enough to pay more than retail, as cool as it is...

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 05-11-2015

I don't care what kind of attachment it has on it any dipshit who points his AR at me like those two retards in that video, nevermind actually pulling the trigger, is going to see my switch flip pretty quickly.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 05-20-2015

Justifies my choice in rifle optic I would say!

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 06-02-2015

Picked up a Glock 35 on trade the other day. It's the extended slide version of the Glock 22 and is largely used for pistol competitions. Came with an extended slide release and several mags, one of which has a +2 baseplate. Haven't shot it yet but I can't imagine it will be much different than my G 22, maybe a little more accurate at longer distances. Picking this up gives me a Glock in every size category. Ranging smallest to largest: G43, G27, G19, G22, G35.

Also while we were moving my mom to her new house she came across these antique powder horns that have been in my family, on my fathers side, for at least 80 years according to my uncle. They aren't super valuable, ~$60 each, but I love the history that is attached to them.

Nice pickup...wow you are really committed to Glock huh? Haha

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-03-2015

Seems like a very good deal for the hardware, for anyone in the market for a rifle:

Not to be contrary, but the S&W M&P15 Magpul edition is just a few more pennies and a better rifle in pretty much every respect.

100 more dollhairs, but more than 100 dollars worth of value. Waaaaaay better barrel, better gas system, billet lower with fancy magpul engraving, magpul "Art of the Tactical Carbine I&II" dvd's... it's my go-to recommendation for a starter rifle, assuming you can't afford a KAC SR-15E3

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-04-2015

Yeah for a grand you can't go wrong!

I almost bought Rachael the pink camo S&W M&P 15-22 for her birthday but am suspect how much it would actually get used

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-05-2015

$.40 per round is about the cheapest I've seen 5.56 in a while. Might have to scoop some up unless uncle rexy knows of a better deal.

Dude you need to play around on www.ammoseek.com. .223 is available all day for ~$0.23 per round for steel case. You can even pick up non-steel-case for ~$0.34 all day long, maybe even less.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-06-2015

I won't buy steel case, but yea I'll have to peep it for that price on brass cased!

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 06-08-2015

Damn, nice site. Just grabbed a brick of .22LR.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-12-2015

Another solid deal from the Grabagun Friday special? No frills but DPMS makes good stuff:

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 06-12-2015

What ammo do you guys use in you ccw? Winchester 180gr. bonded jacketed hollow point in my .40 and 147gr. Winchester PDXI bonded jacketed hollow point in 9mm. I've shot several different ones through both of my regular carry pieces with great reliability but I've found both of those Winchester rounds to be really accurate and reliable. What are you all using?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-12-2015

Hydrashoks or Hornady critical defense in ccw and home defense

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 06-15-2015

Ranger T-series 124gr +P

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 07-10-2015

So today I finally got a chance to break in my SX3. Wow that purchase did not suck at all!! What a crazy fun, smooth gun to shoot for a 12 gauge. The first few rounds I didn't rapid fire, just to get a feel for the gun. The trigger was fine but it didn't feel like it was going to be conducive to doing what it is supposedly capable of doing. It sure does though, dang! Everyone was like what the heck that thing is crazy. With some kind of softer custom trigger it would be absolutely absurd. Only complaint so far (which may be fine once I start using it for clays) is the brass bead sight at the end. It's not very helpful and it is begging for a fiber optic sight.

A+ would recommend

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 07-21-2015

Looking for bulk plinking ammo and there is a lot of Russian crap out there. Any experience?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 07-21-2015

Some of it is pretty dirty, but I haven't had any jams or failures with the Russian ammo I've shot recently.
