Re: Automotive News Discussion - Evan - 04-11-2016 .RJ Wrote:http://jalopnik.com/get-ready-to-blue-yourself-volvo-polestars-get-367-hp-1768463261Saw a v60 polestar this weekend. Want so bad. Id rather have the v6 though. If Im spending (almost) m3 money, I want V6 sound and torque. Re: Automotive News Discussion - Apoc - 04-11-2016 I wanted one, until I actually sat in a V60. The driving position is terrible. Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 04-13-2016 I'm kind of meht about what Magnus Walker does. Some of the cars look kinda cool but not a fan of him, especially since he chooses to drive like an idiot on the street (and almost got decapitated doing so). Porsche tuners are in this order for me (from cool, I'd buy that to -> nope): Singer RUF Techart Magnus Walker Rauh-Welt Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 04-13-2016 Mike Wrote:i might agree with you on the red bumper thing, but in general..Have you seen the abomination that is the Sharkwerks GT2 they let him design? ![]()
Re: Automotive News Discussion - ScottyB - 04-13-2016 i like the cars, and you have to admit he's a marketing genius. i don't see it as much different than RWB....they're rich boy street cars masquerading as racecars with the paint and mostly fake aero Re: Automotive News Discussion - Mike - 04-13-2016 right, lose the red bumper and i think it's okay, no? look, I'm not saying the guy does the best porsches in the world. in fact, the hot wheels article is the first time i had ever even heard his name. i think it's cool that hot wheels is doing "tuner" cars beyond fast & furious. Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 04-13-2016 Yeah without the orange bumpers I would like that car much more. One question though, have any other 911's come from the factory with the hood stripes like that? I ask because the 991R has them and I can only really recall Magnus Walker cars having those stripes. Was Porsche inspired by Walker when they put those stripes on the 911R? Re: Automotive News Discussion - SlimKlim - 04-13-2016 Is Eclipse right for you? EDIT: Oh this isn't the Bored thread, silly me... Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 04-13-2016 JPolen01 Wrote:Ah thank you for restoring my faith in Porsche's decision-making. Now if only they'll make enough GT3's and GT4's to ease some of the crazy prices.G.Irish Wrote:Yeah without the orange bumpers I would like that car much more. Re: Automotive News Discussion - RawrImAMonster - 04-13-2016 Seems like most reviews are consistently preferring the M2 over the M4. In the hands of Randy Pobst, the M2 was actually quicker around streets of willow (more technical, but not as fast as big willow). http://www.motortrend.com/news/bmw-m2-v ... g-rivalry/ Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 04-14-2016 I kinda figured the M2 might manage to be very close to the M4 on tighter tracks but being actually faster is a little bit of a surprise. Seems like more than one outfit feels like the M4 is tricky to drive at the limit, which negatively affects the lap times it can put down. The F80/F82 is still significantly faster than the E90/E92 but it seems like BMW could stand do make some improvements on the handling front. Great news for the M2, great value for the money if you're set on buying a luxury performance car. Re: Automotive News Discussion - rherold9 - 04-14-2016 Lol @ the bmw tax. $52k?
