Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 02-12-2015

Yeah but I am assuming I can't buy an Excalibur as a civilian

That might make deer hunts a little messy as well :p

Been thinking about adding a long range rifle to the arsenal for a while. Came across this article in my news feed. Thoughts? I'm really happy with my 10/22 and my wife's SR-22 after the mag fix, I didn't realize Ruger made a good long range gun that was that cheap:

Eh. 3' X 3' target at 1000 yards... so that's like 3.6MOA? I mean...ok. That's more the cartridge than the gun, tbh. It's not that it's bad, but...there are better.

6.5 Creedmoor tho, yes. (alternately, 260 Remington.)

If you want a bolt gun, like, we can talk about that. (Especially with the new Magpul 700 chassis...mmmmmm)

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Tyler.M - 03-04-2015

Thread hack! Anyone have any leads on a goos deal for a decent pistol for a first time gun owner?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 03-04-2015

Purpose of said first firearm?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Tyler.M - 03-05-2015

home defense/ conceal carry eventually

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 03-05-2015

Tyler.M Wrote:home defense/ conceal carry eventually

Totally different applications requiring, ideally, totally different firearms.

Let's grab a beer and talk about it.

So my Glock 43 came in today, but I was already on my way home when they called, so I pick it up Monday.

P2000?

What about 'em?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 04-25-2015

Everything?

They're cool. I like the SK, and I like it with either the decocker or the LEM trigger. I'd buy one, it's basically the same design as your P30, but without the grip shaping.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 04-26-2015

I read the P30 grip can be rough for CCW. I'm not convinced I need a separate one given my purpose.... I think mostly I'm just looking to burn cash and get a new toy. P2000SK seems like a good way to do that.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 04-26-2015

ruger 10/22 available at local big box for $189. no brainer?

Mike Wrote:ruger 10/22 available at local big box for $189. no brainer?

Would you ever use it? I don't think I have a use case for a rifle... except maybe sniping zombies.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 04-26-2015

Probably use it just as much as your over-under and only $189. :dunno:

Question is the price. I'm pretty certain that's a steal.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 04-26-2015

Yeah you can't go wrong at that price. Honestly though I would hold out for a deal on the Takedown, I think I ended up getting mine for like $200. At least you can justify it as a bug out bag purchase if you don't end up shooting it a lot. I do love the rifle though it's really fun to shoot and you can bring it into most pistol ranges due to the caliber
