Re: Automotive News Discussion - Senor_Taylor - 03-23-2016

I think that this version looks better with the top up than the soft top does now. I agree with the top down. IF I were to buy one right now, I'd wait for the Power Hard Top. That article refers to Mazda making Miata coupes before. Is that true?

Good point. Mazda Marketing = Cheap lightweight reliable car, you dont need power with this lightweight.

Introduces mechanically complicated folding targa with heavy motors....

Only overseas (JDM Bro) not in America.

Sort of.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Jake - 03-23-2016

I kinda like it. Reminds me of the kinda-rare Solstice Coupe that GM made, except this won't be a limited edition and should actually be nice to sit in.

Not sure which I'd buy between the soft top and this targa thing. The targa is intriguing for sure, would be more secure and more impervious to "the elements" in bad weather. But it's not a legit convertible. I like my dad's NC2 with the power hardtop because it's a real 'vert with the roof down, and warm/secure/whatever with the roof up.

Of course, this is all a moot point if I can't fit in the thing. Still haven't tried a ND on for size yet but the NC is painful to drive more than 15-20 minutes.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Kaan - 03-23-2016

uhhh its a miata with a bunch of bondo on the hardtop to make it a coupe. :vomit:

edit: they did "stretch" the back of the hardtop to the middle of the trunk... :evileye:

Re: Automotive News Discussion - .RJ - 03-23-2016

I like it. I bet the power top only adds 50 lbs. Would prefer a hatchback coupe style like the Z4 but they did a nice job with it.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - *insertusernamehere* - 03-23-2016

Kinda reminds me of a stubby frs/brz with the top up.

The rear 1/3 looks like a bit fucked up RX-7

Well I think you were right the first time. I'd rather have an FRS or quite a few other cars than a no-longer-unique Miata.

This guy's face tells it all. Car is not fun.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - SlimKlim - 03-31-2016

I *think* every generation has had a 316i, I can't imagine hauling an E90's fat ass around with 115hp.

So is anyone standing in line at their local Tesla store today with their deposit?

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JustinG - 03-31-2016
