You wanted Gibbs to be agressive...

- Hunter - 11-25-2007

So did anyone else think that the spot on that pass was waaaay off? I thought he went down at about the two and they marked it at the 3.

- Evan - 11-25-2007

spot was terrrrrible....... at least a half yard short of where the ball was.

- Hunter - 11-25-2007

They could have challenged it, but then we wouldn't have any challenges left.

Oh and I like the call that gibbs made on 4th down. It didn't work, but at least he's showing some confidence in the offense.

all aboard the failboat

- Apoc - 11-25-2007

He single-handedly blew that game.

- Hunter - 11-25-2007

That game was almost as disappointing as the JMU playoff game yesterday.

He also almost single handedly won the game. That being said, this end of game mental errors are becoming a theme. I sure hope he doesn't start believing that he can't make a play at the end of a game.

Was he catching the ball too? I must have missed that part.

I think he was being sarcastic.

He played great in the second half but made 2 huge mistakes at the worst possible time. Again. He did a lot to overcome the poor play of everyone in the offense of the first half.

I do have more hope that he will be good next season.

Ironically, the media was jocking Campbells nuts last week and very critical of him this week. I thought he played better this week.

Total net yards 412 192

No, I wasn't.

Two INTs on the opponents side of the field when you could go ahead means you blew it. There were a lot of things that happened to put him in that place but when there he blew it.

I agree 100%, but I thought you were being sarcastic about the "single handedly"
given the turnovers of the first half and the hole that created, I wouldnt say he single handedly lost it.

fwiw, had they kicked the field goal instead of going for it (or just gotten the proper spot  ) then it would have been a very different game, and probably in overtime right now.

How can you make one big blanket statement that puts all the errors made by the entire team on one person, and then criticize me when I make a blanket statement the saying that most of our success was due to one person.

It's the same thing. Did he make moss or portis fumble? Did he get stopped on 4th down at the 2? I'm not saying he didn't make two terrible plays, but you just can't blame the whole loss on him. He did have that offense rolling during the second half.

The submit button and the fact that it annoys you allows me. Tongue

He single handedly blew the opportunity to recover. How's that?

I definitely agree with that. The first interception looked like a missed read on the coverage, I think that's one he'll learn from. The second one however, was a bad decision. It was forced and he had no business trying to make that play, which scares me.

Before last week I saw a stat that Campbell had a rating of 115 and had 8 touchdowns to 1 interception when he was in the red zone, and that made me think he was a great decision maker around the goal line. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to hold true when he's in the red zone with less than 2 minutes left.

You don't win games with 6 turnovers. End of story.
