andy has me a little worried Tongue andy, shout if you need a hand!

- Andy - 02-10-2007

Nope. Studs went in today. Oil pan gasket and alignment is all that is left. Oh and valve cover gasket. Shit. Maybe more. Shit. I don't know.

Mike, I might have some boots. Call me tomorrow morning. I can help you with the belts next week, but you may need to bring it over to my place - I'm going to be packing, getting ready for the move, and starting getting up to speed on the new job.

- HAULN-SS - 02-11-2007

Wheres the new place?

- .RJ - 02-11-2007

Falls Church

i can't work on it tomorrow so i'll just wait until they arrive monday, but thanks. bringing over to your place is no problem... shouldn't take much more than 30 minutes.

sweetness. got the bad corner done, but garage was too cluttered to get at the other corners... i'll do them at some point in the next week and a half, but no rush.

also finished securing the shoulder straps of my harness. that doubling back was one of the most difficult thing i've ever done.

and finally resecured the radiator hose that wasn't on too well.

assuming no snow, get tires mounted tomorrow and i'm pretty much ready Smile

- Mike - 02-13-2007

yesss! that did it! going to do 2 more corners today, change my oil, put new wiper blades on that bitch, and i washed it (towel + snow).

local shops wanted a minimum of $24/tire so i'm still looking for some place to mount. curry's or navin's friend seem to be my best bets.

- Mike - 02-13-2007

fuck yeah, i'm really happy with the amount of work i've put in to the car for this season. i don't think it'd ever been prepared as well so rather than chasing mechanical gremlins all year, maybe i'll get to actually tune the car's setup!

all corners lubed up, anti-seized every bolt, new blades on... shit yeah... feels good to only have to worry about preventative maintenance.

to do: harness mounting, tire mounting, inspection.

Lemme know if you find something cheaper. I would like to have another option in the future. Rather give money to a mom and pop wheel shop then a chain like Merchant's

Rob, we gave you LOTS of options before. You just didnt like them because they were too far of a drive for you.

Options drop off when you have low pros.

if you remove the wheel from the car they'll likely charge you less

i had a local gas station do mine for $15/wheel

No, options drop off when you get your shorts in a knot and refuse to go further from 5 minutes from your house.

- Mike - 02-13-2007

the 10/tire option that i'm going with only "drops off" when you get to 18"

- Mike - 02-16-2007

Hrm... so the car isn't getting as warm as it should. Bad thermostat?

- Sijray21 - 02-16-2007

or that it's about 8 degrees outside Tongue

is that when the car is moving?

- Mike - 02-16-2007

yes. if i turn the heat on full blast, the gauge reads just about as cold as when i start the car. with the heat oiff, it doesn't reach where it should.

T-Stat is stuck open.

- Mike - 02-16-2007

that's what i figured. how long does that take to replace? can i just fix it? i was gonna just put a block-off in front of my radiator for now.
