RE: Project: Space Wagon - ScottyB - 03-15-2018 ah that sucks. nothing on the used market worth looking at and/or available i guess? i take it Konis aren't available unless you hack up your strut housings right? RE: Project: Space Wagon - .RJ - 03-15-2018 Konis are available, but I was really drawn to the B8 struts since they have shorter strut bodies compared to factory, so you get some travel back - which is in short supply on these cars. RE: Project: Space Wagon - ScottyB - 03-15-2018 totally get that, and don't blame you. thats the strut lyfe yo RE: Project: Space Wagon - .RJ - 03-15-2018 The suspension is really the last big thing i'd like to tackle. I shouldnt be impatient.... but god dammit Amazon prime derecola this is your fault I DEMAND SATISFACTION RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 03-15-2018 Sometimes I do the no rush shipping for the $1 digital credit and it's the LONGEST WEEK EVER. You can get $1 for choosing slower shipping? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 03-15-2018 I assumed that was everyone? Maybe it's just Seattle or certain locations? Anyway, yeah. I always get an option to get a credit of some sort if I choose a slower speed. Sometimes it's $5 for Prime Pantry, sometimes $1 for Health & Beauty, and sometime $1 for digital products (music, video, etc.). I only ever opt in when it's digital and I'm able to overcome my desire for instant gratification. Project: Space Wagon - JustinG - 03-15-2018 It's available for me as well RE: Project: Space Wagon - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-15-2018 (03-15-2018, 02:16 PM)Apoc Wrote: I assumed that was everyone? Maybe it's just Seattle or certain locations? I get it as well and choose it a lot because I do a lot of reading on the kindle and the $1 works for books. Oh yeah, Mr. Amazon; Can you please fix why the Top 100 free books are 95% Women's Romance novels.......... RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 03-15-2018 Sorry, I can't fix that all you other husbands aren't romantic and your wives have to read free books to get it in their lives! RE: Project: Space Wagon - WRXtranceformed - 03-15-2018 I went to college so I wouldn't have to read books FAST PACKAGES >>>>>>>>>>>> all Project: Space Wagon - JustinG - 03-15-2018 We need to start an "I went to college so I don't have to" thread RE: Project: Space Wagon - SlimKlim - 03-15-2018 I went to college so I didn't have to get my wife off. ...wait RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 03-15-2018 I went to college so I don't have to start my own threads. I do that on most orders, and use the credits to pay for all my movie rentals and music purchases. I haven't added it up, but its probably almost covered my prime membership cost itself. And didnt you used to brag about *not* getting prime? RE: Project: Space Wagon - Apoc - 03-15-2018 That sounds like something I'd do. I think what got me over the hump was getting a really cheap student rate for like three years. With a kid and a high aversion to pretty much all retail, I'm pretty much the target market for on-demand shipping. I've actually gotten to the point where I'm annoyed if it's not same/next day. Viva la resistance! RE: Project: Space Wagon - .RJ - 06-25-2018 still waiting on bilstein to start making parts again. who knows when that will be. Ongoing saga... I paid to have the windshield replaced along with some cosmetic touchup back in October when I bought the car. I had to bring the car back to the shop (return visit #1) as soon as I got it home because the windshield wipers were hitting each other. Yes, really. Fast forward a few months later, and the drip rails under the cowl packed up with leaves and shit because none of the seals/drip rail/cowl arrangement was reinstalled properly and water was getting under the cowl and into the cabin air filter, and into the car (return visits #2 and #3). They spent some time with it but it wasnt right and I needed the car to go away for the weekend and brought it back (return visit #4) where they installed another windshield as the seals that go in as part of the bottom edge of the glass didnt get installed properly. Finally seems OK although they did not use the OE branded glass that I paid for when it went in the first time. I was pissed, gave them an earful and tried to let it go as I didnt want to be without the car again for 3 days. Now the rain sensor doesnt work and they forgot to hook up the windshield washer nozzles. The latter is not a problem, the former means that another piece of glass is going in because its bonded to the glass at the factory. They want me to schedule (return visit #5) a time to bring the car back again. I think I am just going to ask them to refund my money on this one because I cant handle the amateur hour any longer, or the back and forth to drop this thing off leaving us without a car. The body/detail shop sub-contracts this out to a glass guy, as most people do, but that's not really my problem although they're trying to pass the buck. I paid them for a service, and if your sub has their head up their asses, its not my problem, and not my job to babysit this, its theirs. Project: Space Wagon - Sijray21 - 06-25-2018 Wow, that sucks. I didn't realize this was still going on... They really need to go back to their glass guy, but that's all on them... RE: Project: Space Wagon - ScottyB - 06-26-2018 best of luck, that blows. having a car gone for a couple days might be OK if you've got 2 or 3 to jockey around but you guys probably can't be without one too long. RE: Project: Space Wagon - Goodspeed - 06-26-2018 Sucks that they're blowing what should be a super simple job. FWIW, I had a windshield replaced at Empire Glass in Merrifield in like an hour and the quality of work appeared top notch & no issues here several months later. |
